HBO....I really dislike how they have such short seasons True Blood was the same way. I'm not asking for 24 episodes, but at least 12
It's the tradeoff for higher production values. I mean 10 episodes of GoT is essentially 5 movies' worth filmed and released in the same year.
Final season only six episodes! [emoji35] http://money.cnn.com/2017/03/12/med...-thrones-sxsw1230AMVODtopLink&linkId=35403518
I think this was rumored as early as last Summer, the fact that the last two seasons would be seven and six episodes long respectively. I had no idea it hadn't been properly confirmed until now.
I couldn't figure out why I wasn't surprised by the news I thought was already known. I have recently seen this in a lot of places. I'm pretty sure you're right.
So, my publishers say I have to start trying to appeal to a younger audience... pic.twitter.com/T3BZuw6iqB— George RR Martin (@GRRMspeaking) April 11, 2017
I didn't figure it out myself, but I noticed people on YT commenting on it being fake and if you re-watch it closely, I think I recognize most of the footage from previous seasons.
Based on that trailer, this season will be very action-packed, which might turn out great but is also a departure from what made the show work in the first six seasons.
For all the hype and build-up......I dont think that was a very good hour of TV. Fair enough, expecting action was probably unlikely, as they are going to build up to it.....but the character interactions seems to have taken a nose dive. If they cant rely on clever dialogue without source material...they need to ramp this up to an action finale as soon as possible.
