Interesting stat(s) of the game time: We only took 12 shots in this game. 5 of those were on target. That's one of our best conversion rates of the season In a weird twist we had less of the ball (possession) in this game compared to the Portland game, but had nearly 100 more touches of the ball. Seattle dominated a lot of the passing categories. The spike in their numbers came after the opening goal, though. Prior to that, things were fairly even. Interesting enough, Seattle saw a ton of the ball in the minutes leading up to our second goal. We had 24 interceptions in this game. More than twice as many as we had against Portland. In fact, 24 is the second highest number we've had all season (25 against Seattle earlier in the season) We were dispossessed 22 times in this game. Tied for the highest mark of the season (22 at NYRB). This was what Petke seemed to be most upset about.
It felt like 1/2 of those were by Plata. Frankly, until he made that late switch to set up the 2nd goal, he was poor.
Plata accounted for 2 of them Luke actually lead the team with 8 In fact, Luke loss possession (either via being dispossesed or a turnover) 10 of the 36 times for the whole team.
Anybody else ever tempted to "rep" a comment just so that you can have the satisfaction of "Unrep"ing it afterwords?
