Boz, where was the photo taken at - Rice-Eccles? Except it looks like grass, while the metal bleachers suggest it isn't the RioT.
So, they have Larin back, Game is on ESPN, fireworks game so that means bigger crowd. I will go with 3-1 loss. Bring it on.
The game isn't going to be blacked out locally or anything, is it? I'm saying 1-1. Will and Kyle get in a fight, both get red carded and Kreis gets tossed as well. Fireworks. I got yer friggin' fireworks right here, pal.
*Thinks about going to first live RSL match this season* *Sees it's a fireworks night* *Leaves ticket site*
This picture was taken at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in '09. We lost that game in terrible fashion. The early Olave red card, cold and heavy rainfall and lackluster performance. Solid RSL Support was on hand. Oops. Yes we are at home. Hopefully Ismitje can fix the title.
I have a small house but if anyone doesn't have ESPN you can come over. I wear a mask most of the time but you'll get used to it.
15's weekly incorrect starting XI: Yura Plata Savarino Silva Lennon Luke Acosta Glad Maund Wingert Nicky Yep, same XI that looked sad against SJ. I don't want it, but it's what I think we'll see
Same I'd love Rusnak to be back out there but I doubt, given the travel and games, he will be. Hence Silva (or rather Yura) And Wingert will be in there because of reasons. I have no idea how he continues to get starts. He just does.
Yay! National TV exposure! Unfortunately, given our season this year, the "national TV exposure" is more like the kind that involves raincoats and playgrounds. Anyway, 2-0 win for RSL. Goals by Silva and Yura.
I suppose the one good thing about a fireworks game is getting to bail before they start and either watch from an air conditioned car, or freely leave with far less traffic. Or just save the time and gas and stay home. The Zelda BotW DLC comes out the same day, and I assume playing the master trials will be more entertaining.
I'd really love to buy tickets for this, but I just realized my coworker has been hiding the fact that he's a rapper ... and is dropping an album and participating in a live rap battle on Friday. And you can imagine how you'd feel if you just found this out about one of your coworkers, right? So, knowing me, there's a 99% chance I skip both and watch from the comfort of my couch. (Although it's tempting to meet The Real Boz face to mask...) My prediction: ugly 2-2 tie where Petke gets red carded for head butting Kreis. Past RSL members break up the fight because, come on, they're feeling sorry enough for the state of their old team. In the fallout, Yura makes another hand gesture toward Petke that gets him ejected as well. Then Petke head butts him in the tunnel as they're exiting the field. We all agree it was the best entertainment we've seen from RSL all year. (If you're going to get a prediction wrong, do it in grand fashion...)
4th of July games (which this both is and isn't) have always been wild at the RioT. I fully expect some weird shit to go down. We haven't had too much of that this year. Early red card pk puts the game in a weird mood that eventually ends 1-1
Since this game is on (dare we say it?) "national TV", will Dunny and that other guy (whose name I can't remember) be the announcers or will ESPN bring in someone with a proper British accent to announce the game?
