I'm predicting 7-1 for San Jose. It's not any less likely than your other predictions.

Well done, @Beerking . Non-douche fans of other MLS teams are certainly welcome here, especially if their posts add some insight to the upcoming games. So.... you need to post something that adds some insight to today's game.

Our roster is very thin at the moment, injuries and absent players will leave us with a makeshift lineup, this may your best chance for a road win. Our last three games have been L-L-T so we really need a win today.

OUT: F - Quincy Amarikwa (knee surgery 9/29, out 9 months)
OUT: D - Marvell Wynne (heart abnormality)
OUT: M - Marc Pelosi (left knee injury)
OUT: D - Harold Cummings (leg surgery, 3/30, out 4-6 months)
OUT: D - Florian Jungwrith (ankle injury)
OUT: M - Fatai Alashe (knee injury)

Our best defender Jungwirth is out with bum ankle he got in the USOC so you'll see either Sarkodie or Francis, ugh!

That injury list looks a lot like our list for most of the season. With all those defenders out, maybe we'll get two or three shots on goal!

Jungwirth is out? That's pretty good news for us. He has been fun to watch. Ol' Bernardez is still capable of very good games, though he also seems more likely than ever to break someone in half.

An abnormal test result could indicate a congenital heart defect, coronary artery disease, hypertension and electrical problems such as atrial fibrillation and tachycardias. :(

Yura and Silva up top. Looks like a 4 4 2

A ballsy 4-4-2 with plata, savorino, lennon, and luke as the mids.

I like this from Petke - go more best 11...basically rating Yura over Omar.

We must hope that the movement and positioning will work out - instead of us tripping over and running into one another....

I'm not sure I like Plata and Lennon as outside mids. Hopefully they help out enough on defense or it could get rough. Maybe Yura will have a better game tonight with someone up front next to him to play off of.

I'm going to be honest. I completely forgot about the Open Cup game (thankfully). Then last week I was in Oregon with my husband, so it seems like forever since I watched RSL. I'm looking forward to the game time, win or lose. I hope there will be a few others here for a PBP.

And we're already on the defensive.

plata as an outside mid? I know a couple of you guys have thrown that out there as an idea and I've always thought it'd be silly. Guess we'll see.

After a constant barrage of shots, SJ puts one in. 1-0

    GOOOOAAAL!

Oh, wait, it was for San Jose. Rather expected, so I did not need the exclamation point. Punctuation matters!

Anyone who thinks our starting CB tandem even with Glad is average or above average MLS quality is grossly deceived.

As long as we don't give up a 2nd before half time, it will be a positive?

I don't think any of us would go so far as to say "above average" MLS quality...

always thought it was cool how SJ keeps the rosters up the entire game when they could be having even more ads instead

It needed neither extra letters, capitalization, punctuation, nor even attribution. As in:

    goal

It's already a positive - we made it past the ten minute mark before conceding on the road!

(And here is a good example of where an exclamation point is, indeed, merited.)

I get a kick out of the articles on the MLS website and then also the commentary from the SJE guys tonight (I am out-of-market and watching on Direct Kick) about Yura's goal and celebration and then his line about his play doing the talking - and showing the tap-in goal but not the amazing whiff from a moment later.
