Not calling him up also hurts no one at this point as well. I'd rather someone like Jemerson or Rodrigo Caio get that 4th choice even if they don't sniff the field. Young enough to make the World Cup next year as well as in 2022 and even 2026. Its important to have players who have been there like Cafu and R9 with the 98,02, and 06 squads after 94.

He has pretty good movement around the box. Needs to improve on the timing which I expect to come with experience.

Alves saves yet another PK. And another Ronaldo PK. Saved 3/4 against him.

I read he has saved 24 pks this season. That crazy if it's true.

Also, what in the world is happening to Casemiro lately? He has been a card magnet and again a big chance of getting sent off.

I read he saved 2 PKs at one !! :ROFLMAO:

100 years from now, if there was no Internet, one might say that.

That'd be absurd. He saved 6 this season which I think is a record. He has 24 PK saves total out of 51 in his career. That's an insane stat.

My 2 cents on the CL Semifinals

    R. Madrid v A. Madrid (R. Madrid wins 3-2 on agg)

Juventus vs Monaco (Juventus wins 3-1 on agg)

    Champions League Final on 6/3/17

Juventus beats R. Madrid 3-0(Ol Man Buffon shuts down the BBC!!)

Both Ronaldo7 and Messi are great players, but they can't win world cups... compare with
Pele - 3 world cups, more than entire Argentina country!!!! LOL

And... Romario, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Garrincha, Ronaldo Fenomeno, etc etc etc...

Pele won it in a team with oter world class stars.

I cant say Messi's excuse, but Ronaldo and Portugal 2nd best player is probably a defender o volante.

Pele had Gerson, Jairziho, Didi, Garrincha, Rivelino, Etc.

Messi has Aguero, Higuain, Di Maria, Mascherano (Argentina's best player in the last WC).

Ronaldo has Eder and Nani. Still won the Euro's.

Teams win tournaments, not individuals. Equating team failure to individual failure is a lazy argument.

Portugal beat it's toughest opponent without Ronaldo. That's the best example of my point.

Im trying understand if you agree with me, disagree or just making a general point or observation.

If you want to make excuses for Messi's failure to win anything meaningful at International level, you're going to need to explain it better than by shitting on Ronaldo (not playing the final).

Teams win tournaments yes but theres a difference between what Portugal did and what Brazil 1970 did.
