Saw this in another thread ... in the last minute of the game Mexico had a FK (this I saw) that could have saved the US ... but the FK ended up hitting a WALL ... :ROFLMAO:

Yep, I saw it. The US also had some opportunities late that the T&T stonewalled them on ;)

The US definitely has no excuse. All they needed was a tie.

I think the duo Felipão - Carlos Alberto Parreira would be good for the USA!
    They would recruit Fred (ex-Fluminense)...

Get 'em, Shaka. I think he over exaggerates on some of his points, but I agree with the overall premise of the argument -- they exuded arrogance as if they were so good that not qualifying was simply not possible.

Yeah. I feel bad for Pulisic though. Heard he was the only one that tried against Trinidad and Tobago. The World Cup could've been an excellent opportunity for him. :(

Pulisic is the only one on that squad that is worth his weight. Even veteran guys like Tim Howard was sending the wrong messages before the game. He reacted negatively to the media because of the criticism the US were receiving. He said something along the lines of when we qualify after the game vs T&T, everything that happened in the WCQ will be forgotten. Man, get off your high chair and respect your next opponent because you haven't earned jack. I found it ironic that he had his hand in the blame in the game with some GK blunders.

Nah. I've been pretty disappointed in how piss-poor German teams have generally been in Europe. The Bundesliga is freefalling right now, and I'm not sure where rock bottom is.

Neymar gets wrongly sent off but his reaction and habit of picking up stupid yellow cards are exactly why we should be concerned come WC time.

He asked for that 2nd yellow. Yeah the Marseille player made a meal out of it, but refs can easily give a yellow for that shoulder bump. I rather him get cards like this so that maybe, just maybe, he learns to control his temperament. Although by now he should have already learned.

It seemed as if Neymar was asking for the red. He coerced the first yellow from the ref. The sarcastic applause after the red might also get him a ban for a few matches. He has a problem with his foot. He has been playing relentlessly. He needs to take a break. This is fine from both Neymar and Brazil's point of view. :D

You don't get a red on purpose when your team is losing 2 x 1 in a derby. The rest may be good, but his temperament is still a problem. Specially because it's not the first time he does this in big moments.

True. He saw the first yellow purposely. The second one was because he lost his cool after getting kicked (but mostly because of some brilliant acting by the Marseilles player). However, he then clapped sarcastically. He got suspended for such behavior not long ago. It seems he can't control himself nor does he care if he sees a yellow. The second yellow was reckless. That's a lingering behavioral problem, which may cut short his participation for Brazil in the long run. I also don't like the way he is playing for PSG (no defined position, no tactical discipline. But this may be coach related). Hope he doesn't do that for Brazil (probably won't). Anyway, hope this time he gets some rest and attends to the foot injury. He can coerce another red from the ref next year during his sister's birthday. Should be good for Brazil. ;)

I see Pep has Jesus on the bench vs Arsenal!! Sterling has already missed 3 chances!! De Bruyne has just scored!! 1-0
