RAFAEL OLARRA Y BOMBARDEOS EN ISRAEL: “NO LA ESTOY PASANDO BIEN”

El ex seleccionado nacional se muestra preocupado por la situación bélica que se vive en el medio oriente y asegura que no volverá a Haifa, la ciudad donde tenía su casa. Por ahora los extranjeros del elenco (El Maccabi) viven en Tel Aviv, pero ve con muy buenos ojos emigrar a una zona donde “pueda estar tranquilo y en paz”. (TERRA.cl)

TEL AVIV, julio 17.- El zaguero Rafael Olarra, que milita en el fútbol de Israel, hace rato que está intranquilo. Y es que los graves problemas de esa nación con sus vecinos árabes, que incluyen bombardeos a distintas ciudades, han hecho que el criollo tenga ganas de emigrar de dicha zona.
Pese a que reiteró que no se encuentra en un lugar de tanta tensión, cree que es el momento de partir “ya que las condiciones no están para vivir tranquilo y menos para traerme a mi familia”.

“Haifa fue bombardeada y a todos los extranjeros del equipo nos cambiaron de ciudad. Ahora estamos en Tel Aviv por un asunto de seguridad. La situación es anormal para nosotros, pero muy normal para ellos”, dice en tono incrédulo.

Consultado por su caso personal, fue más tajante: “No estoy en buenas condiciones nerviosas y es entendible por todo lo que sucede acá. Sinceramente no lo estoy pasando bien”, sostuvo.

El defensor agregó que “está dentro de mis planes irme de acá o volver a Chile. Hablé con la gente que me representa para ver esa chance y todo se resolverá próximamente”.

Olarra, junto con mandar un mensaje de tranquilidad para su familia, contó que “vi la posibilidad de jugar en mi país, donde se pueden inscribir jugadores hasta la quinta fecha. En todo caso, hay otras ofertas para seguir afuera. Estoy en buen nivel y quiero aprovecharlo”.

Hi Jayel!

Well, Mauricio Pinilla is one of the more (un)popular chilean player (or loved, or hated). "Polemic" is the perfect word to describe him.

He's a young forward, and a bit inmature person. Good tall (1.85 aprox), so his head is the principal weapon.
He's not a super technical player with the ball in the foots, but he's strong and with a lot of character.

He was in the NT u-20 and u-23, and in the adult NT during some games in Qualifing to the WC, and made 2 goals (against Perú with the head, and against Venezuela kicking the ball from out the box).
In Qualifing stage, he played 9 games from the beginning (like against Perú when he scored), and 3 games from the bench to the field (like against Venezuela, when he scored). Only 2 goals, no more.

Well, in clubs, he changed a lot of times:
Universidad de Chile (2003), was his best year. 10 goals I think.
Chievo Verona of Italy: 6 months and out. I think he scored 1 goal.
Celta of Vigo, Spain: another bad seasson. No more than a couple of goals.
Sporting Lisbonne, Portugal: made goals in UEFA Cup, but ending injuried the season.
Racing Santander, Spain: another 6 months, and another "flop", because he didn't score (maybe just 1 goal, I'm not sure).

He had familiar problems a few weeks ago, so probably he's now a bit mature, I hope.

He wants to sign in Heart of Scotland, because he's still young to play in the English Premier League after Scotland, as he said a couple of days ago.

He should play inside the box.

A few people have been questioning his goal scoring abilities and it's been said he can be a bit temperamental and moody.However our owner and management team must have seen something that they like and are willing to put faith in him.I hope the move turns out to be a success for both Hearts and Panilla.If Panilla earns a move to the English Premiere in time that will mean he will has done well at Hearts and he would move on with our best wishes. I hope he can get lots of goals for us this season especially in the Champions League.

yeah he is known as someone with lots of potential but doesnt really care. As they said earlier, immature, and parties too much. If he however decides to get serious (which all of Chile hopes he does) he could be very good.

As long as you keep the guy on a leash, with a strict working environment and above all some mental help (it's not that he's crazy but he lacks focus) then, hopefully, he'll be ok.

In Chile, Pinilla is the premier example of a lost player. Too much time on TV, too much partying... and not enough goals. He's the eternal promise of our futbol, once considered to be the next Salas... and up until now he's failed misserably in Europe, although he's had some very good games for the national team.

He's a good player, and this could REALLY be his last chance in Europe, so maybe for once (for our sake) we hope that he'll do good this season.

Es la ultima oportunidad de Pinilla sin duda. Es increible la cantidad de equipos en los que a jugado, sin lograr mayor trascendencia, con pobres actuaciones.


Ojala ahora se dedique a jugar futbol y deje de lado el carrete, farandula y el gel... el muy am_ariconao.

Hablando en serio, en Chile no tenemos otros delanteros de las caracteristicas de Pinilla... seria interesante, por lo menos, tenerlo como alternativa.

Thanks for the great info and insight into Panilla and only time will tell if it's to be a success.It's all really up to him, the team he is joining is strong and getting stronger he will have to earn a starting position.I think he will love it in living in Edinburgh and playing at Tynecastle .

The game tomorrow against Osasuna is only a friendly game, it starts for real next week against a team from Bosnia or Belarus with the Bosnians favourite after winning away leg 1-0.

Rudi Skacel had a fantastic 1st half of the season but hardlymade an effort in the 2nd half.Andy Webster i feel has been badly advised by another greedy agent.Both were good players and Rudi was idolised by the fans but they are relaced/replaceable.

SANTIAGO.- Una preocupación sumó el entrenador de Colo Colo, Claudio Borghi, luego de enterarse este martes que Arsenal de sarandí de Argentina está interesado en los servicios del mediocampista Rodrigo Meléndez.

"No soy el que tiene que comprobar si la oferta existe o no. Me contó él (Meléndez) para que no me tomara de sorpresa y me dijo que lo llamó (Gustavo) Alfaro", sostuvo Borghi en diálogo con Al Aire Libre en Cooperativa.

"Sigue hablando de lo bien que juega Meléndez. El no pertenece a Colo Colo, tiene un contrato solamente (hasta fin de año). Hay que ver qué se puede hacer", agregó.

SANTIAGO, julio 20.- El mediocampista nacional Luis Jiménez fue el invitado a conversar con los usuarios de Terra.cl y uno de los nuevos referentes del fútbol nacional respondió a todas las consultas y dudas de sus seguidores.
El apodado “Mago” comenzó hablando acerca del escándalo que se vive en Italia ante los castigos que recayeron sobre la Juventus, Fiorentina (su ex club) y Lazio por el arreglo de partidos y que fueron sancionados con el envío a la Serie B del Calcio.

“En Florencia está quedando la escoba, están parando los trenes por el escándalo. Es un tema no menor, ya que debo volver a la ciudad para buscar mis cosas”, sentenció Jiménez que aún no sabe cual será su futuro futbolístico.

Lo único seguro es que seguirá en el Viejo Continente, siendo la camiseta de dos clubes italianos, las que más seducen al “Mago”. “Estamos hablando de dos grandes equipos de Europa, quizás por prestigio sería mejor el Inter. Roma me llama la atención porque está Totti (Francesco), y más que todo por su ciudad que es espectacular”.

Tema no menor para Jiménez, ya que en la actualidad es el máximo referente del fútbol nacional, calificativo que lo tiene encumbrado como el capitán de la Selección Chilena.

“Seguramente soy un jugador importante y creo que tengo una gran responsabilidad. Es un bonito desafío ser el capitán de la selección y que compañeros más jóvenes vean en ti un referente”, sostuvo el mediocampista.

Para Jiménez la tarea junto a la “Roja” es “mejorar lo que hicimos en la gira por Europa, igualando frente a selecciones de alto nivel, siendo nuestro primer desafío la Copa América. Sería feliz si la ganamos, pero para qué voy a ilusionar a la gente. Hay equipo para estar arriba, de eso estoy seguro”.

El futbolista, que fue comparado con Zamorano y Salas durante la conversación, también se refirió a la renuncia de Mark González a la “Roja”, tras el escándalo de Dublín y señaló que “lo más bonito sería que volviera sin que nadie se lo pidiera, pero hay que tener en cuenta que nosotros no podemos poner normas para jugar en la selección”.

Siguiendo con el tema, Jiménez le envió un pequeño mensaje a Gonzalez y le dijo que “creo que se hizo algo que no correspondía en el momento, pero creo que lo más grave fue después, no haber reconocido el error”.
