Has Rossi lost anything to these injuries?

His first start. He came off the bench in last season's closing fixture against Pescara.

Of course he scored, because after two terrible knee surgeries, his recovery would be perfect. Now if his name was Stuart Holden, in his first game back someone would have spiked his tib-fib and he would have been out for 9 months more. Sorry, sour grapes about the bad luck that seems to have befallen the US team members of late.

Good for ol Jersey Joe. I'm glad he's with Fiorentina, one of my Serie A favs.

How the Heck does Falcao have 30 more goals? Are they including when it was the UEFA Cup?

He's close to being back in contention for the Italian national team...he's probably their 5th or 6th best striker at the moment. Will be interesting to see if he gets called in for Oct 11/15 qualifiers, since Italy has already won their group.

The only for sure striker I think for Italy is Balotelli and maybe 1 of the guys who recently left ROMA. who are the others? And read TOTTI is being considered for a re-call

Guys like Balotelli and Gilardino are center forwards and wouldn't really competing with Rossi for a spot.

As regards withdrawn strikers, there are also El Shaarawy, Giovinco, Cassano and Insigne that come to mind right now.

I don't think Osvaldo will make the World Cup squad. Rossi has a much higher probability of making the team. Prandelli is a big fan of his.

O/T but how is Rossi's Italian? Is his accent noticeable?

Well, here's to Stuart Holden experiencing a similar revival after this, what is to be his LAST setback, amen?

No. He speaks perfect Italian with no noticeable American accent.
