Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I know we are early into this thread title but I think the next one should be ReqREAM of a Dream Move to Bolton
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Right. It was on Sky Sports news as well. Sounds like all the new boys are in the squad, it will be interesting to see if it brings about a much needed change of character. Lets do this Ream!!
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton From what I understand, Bolton's backline was dreadful today.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Coyle has said he will be in the squad vs Millwall...lets see if it actually happens this time.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I was looking at yahoo uk and saw that ream received the highest player ratings of any defender from fan voting in this match. 3rd on the team. Sometimes I wonder if these numbers are skewed by American voters, but given that everyone seems to hate Ream, I doubt it. Of course, the way Eurodouchebaggery works he may be regarded as good now that he's one match of of MLS and in playing for a Premiership side, so who knows...
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton It probably had more to do with the fact that overall he had a very good game. He made one or two mistakes, but made up for them and neither cost him a goal. The vast majority of times his name was called it was for something very good.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Good for Ream. He struggles with consistency and focus so a massive upgrade in opponents talent level could certainly help with the focus issue. The pressure put on him could end up being a good thing for him.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Ream is a very good player, it's too bad that some have rendered him useless. Thankfully, the people that count (Doyle) and know a thing or two about the game, has positioned him to excel. Bonne chance Tim!
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I think it's more helpful to argue against points people are actually making in a given discussion, rather than flinging around non-constructive stuff that isn't really in context. History shows it can really drag threads down. Thanks.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton There is a difference between hating and not rating....
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton He makes soccernet's team of the week I don't know if he got MOTM, but the cameras were following him around after the game, and you could hear the USA USA chants in the background. A nice start. Good for him.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I disagree I think he's made an extremely valid point. He could've been more politically correct in context, however the point still stands. I have to admit sometimes I fall under "Pro-European", because let's face it that's where the world's best talents ultimately end up (and the $$$). We have the young guys who move over to the European youth system, or who were raised in it (Chandler, Lichaj, Brooks, Diskerrud, F. Johnson, etc.) that are almost automatically labeled "better" than our homegrown MLS guys. What's the very first thing someone says when our homegrown guys start to excel? "Yeah, but when is he going to go that next level to Europe?" Look no further than Landon Donovan to see how shunned one can be when they decide to come back to MLS. There are some players that I feel just don't have it (Break Shea comes to mind) and I've never been a Tim Ream fan, but I'm excited for his opportunity at Bolton. His present situation can be nothing but positive for his career, because he has nothing to lose. With Cahill leaving and Ream as his replacement, he has the chance to become a Bolton legend.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton The point is, though, that in this thread nobody was making the argument he was trying to rebut. If person A really thinks it's annoying to have to deal with such an argument, then person A would be better served not to be the one introducing it into new situations. Furthermore, the term "eurodouchebaggery" seems designed to antagonize without explaining much.
Bolton new man Ream dreaming of Wembley http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...2/Tim-Ream-dreaming-Wembley-Bolton-debut.html
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Good match to make a debut and sounds like a good performance. Ream seems like the kind of player that wouldn't be disturbed by a hostile crowd. I suspect that Coyle will continue to pick his spots to blood Ream this year.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Is the F.A. the only cup competition that Bolton are still involved in? These are likely his best opportunities at playing time early on. It'll be interesting to see where Tim winds up after this first run of matches and Coyle has the chance to decide his "level".
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton theres still a bunch of teams at the bottom of the pile right now. i really think its a race against time to get Holden and Lee healthy. those are the two key pieces of the puzzle. IF they can get back, and the others keep stalling, i think Bolton could survive. Wigan doesnt look great, Wolves are in a tailspin, and Blackburn just arent that good either. Bolton at least has the capacity to get better.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Not to mention QPR, who have rapidly lost their comfy cushion ahead of the relegation zone and are tied on points with wolves and Blackburn.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I believe Lee is expected back this season. I would be pleasantly surprised if Stu kicks a ball in anger this season. He's a prized asset that they can't afford to have injured long term yet again.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton could be any of them tbh. i wont make that call. QPR would be catastrophic given their wages.
