It's a shame they're going down. I was certain Ranieri would get them playing better defensively. Too little too late.
It's the opposite effect from the team that clinches the title and stops caring. Here, since they got relegated, the rivals come out confident thinking Fulham is going to be a walk in the park, since they have nothing to gain by playing well.
I think these last couple games demonstrate what team defending looks like. The backline has deserved criticism throughout the year, but what happened this year is a complete lack of fight in midfield and on the flanks. The fullbacks were literally abandoned at times and the CM signings will go down as some of the worst in PL history.
The couple games I watched I noticed midfielders were not tracking runners into the box. Leaving defenders against 2 on 1s. There was enough talent on this Fulham team to stay up. Oh well, back up next year.
ive felt that myself. the talent is there,,,,,,,,theyre not a bad squad. Id favor them to come back up over say Cardiff
How is this going to work? How can you prevent a player who should be subbed out faking a head injury? The proposal that a temporary sub (for X minutes) be allowed after a player suffers a bad head injury is more reasonable.
Mandatory games off for players removed due to head injuries. If a team is found to be violating the rules by either faking head injuries or putting players back into matches with them, fine the living shit out of them and start docking points.
... with all fines payable to my favorite charity, which in this case, and for these purposes only, I will allow to be designated as my favourite charity.
any recent interviews with Ream? I'm curious what he'd say is to explain their recent strong performances? Also, how many more years left on his contract?

HT - Ream has been good other than one mistake. The last couple games his passing has been elite. Team really relies on him to move the ball around.
Yeah, even though they lost today, it was still a pretty solid game away from home against one of the best teams outside top 6.
Ream (and de la Torre) stayed on the bench as Fulham bid farewell to the Premier League, getting rocked 4-0 at home against Newcastle.
I'm not counting De La Torre among our relegated brethren because he never played a game in the Premiership.
He is versatile and we have likely our two starting CBs both injured, so yes I figure that flexibility helps him.
