On the left is the Championship table on December 17, 2017 On the right is the Championship table right now What a rise for Fulham and Millwall
It's interesting how the remaining fixtures are set. Apart from the last game, they never play at the same time. Cardiff play Then Fulham play 2 Then Cardiff play 2 Then 1, 1 and last game. The Millwall away game is gonna be key for Fulham I think. April 14 Norwich v Cardiff - 10am Fulham v Brentford-1230pm. This must be on ESPN+ April 20th Millwall v Fulham April 21st Cardiff v Notts Forest April 24th Derby v Cardiff (game in hand) April 27th Fulham v Sunderland April 28th Hull v Cardiff May 6th (Play at same time) Cardiff v Reading Birmingham v Fulham
Ah Millwall. The Father of the Hooligans. Their return to the Premiership would herald the End of Times.
The top 7 clubs have all featured a Yank or 2 (nearly a dozen in the case of Fulham) at one point in time. Cardiff having the honor of EJ

It's the Championship. Barry Douglas looks ace with Wolves but the Scottish NT wouldn't dream to call him for a competitive game. For some reason, USA soccer fans over-estimate the Championship.
Aren't most of the Scottish NT players in Scotland (a league equivalent to League 1) or the Championship itself? I don't think we over-estimate. We put value on it as we don't have many PL players anymore. And it's still above MLS....for now
That's sort of the point. Grant Hanley is with Norwich in the Championship, where he looks ok. But he looks even a bit better with Scotland, so he's a regular in games that matter for them. Ream looks quite good with Fulham, so we call him to the NT and there he looks mediocre at best. But we keep calling him for important games, because he just looks so good with his club --even though it's just a second division. The Scots don't do that: if you look ace with your Championship club, but don't look so good with their NT, they just don't put you on the field.
Most of the Scottish squad is from the Scottish league or the Championship. So they call up whomever they can. Several of their PL players aren't even starters
Maybe the USMNT and Scotland can talk about which route is better while watching the WC in a bar somewhere.
well I was simply curious about guys who play well for their club team and yet are atrocious for their NT. (though it would be more interesting for players in top divisions).
I think the problem is he doesn’t suck. He won’t carry us through a World Cup, but he’s versatile and a professional. Certainly at least equal to the MLS/LigaMX CB options. Our fan base - maybe just BS - is especially harsh on defenders. Ream is a candidate for YA of the season for me.

Ballin' in a big game 29' Tim Ream with a tremendous goal-line clearance to keep the score level. Great defending from the American. #FFC— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) April 20, 2018
