Dempsey listens to his coaches and scores goals. He will get plenty of time.

hey genius, spurs finished 4th last year and were a last second drogba equalizer away from the CL

meanwhile... Newcastle made practically no moves, Liverpool only have 1 guy who can score goals in Suarez, & arsenal have lost RVP and Song. Chelsea only CL competitor who seem strengthened.

Man, I could have sworn that the NY Cosmos were going to swoop in for Clint at the last minute. I need to get better sources. Now that I think about though, I knew all along that he would end up with Tottenham. I just didn't realize I knew until after it happened.

Robbie Fowler is still out there somewhere - Owen & Fowler up top? :whistling:

Congrats to Clint - reunites with Dembele, will work on his accent with Friedel .

Lol...really? I had no idea.

What does that have to do with AVB potentially being a trainwreck of a manager? And what's with the rudeness?

Hmm...Dembele is not a DM. Defoe is one of the best finishers in the game as well so you'll have to play him closer to goal. Lennon will more than likely be starting on the right, with Defoe either coming off of the bench or starting up top with Ade against the easier teams. Personally, (and I could be wrong), I think Dempsey will be fighting with Dembele for the vacated VDV position, just behind the striker. He might also make appearances at LM as cover for Bale.

good news for Clint that the first 2 games after the international break are in London- so at least
he won't have to travel immediately when he gets back. Not sure if there is a cup or European game in there.

more importantly Newcastle didn't lose anyone today and the Toon did go and get a Dutch international just in case Tiote left.

Tottenham's defense hasn't looked very good recently. Will that change?
