Apparently, bored and underemployed Wall Street quants have prepared their World Cup forecasts. Someone (one of you guys?) has launched a contest for a statistical improvement on their predictions: World Cup Forecasting Competition http://kaggle.com/worldcup2010 Don't know if this is old news or not, I just saw it today. As far as I can tell it went up June 4th.
