it's a bit like Germany, for a long time only a few players left to play outside. Now more and more are leaving and playing across of Europe. Not everyone wants to change countries/cultures/languages, also feels like the English want to breakthrough/play in EPL, the "best league on the planet". Although we are seeing more and more English players in Germany. They can't get playing time in England and 1BL seems to want to give it to them. Currently there is Sancho, Oxford, Lookman, and Egbo. From those 4, 2 are currently on loan. And there are always links to more English players coming to Germany.

    speaking of Ballon D'Or

Kevin De Bruyne has looked like he can do anything this season but even he cannot believe what Leroy Sane is capable of.

Sane was the star of the show at the Emirates on Thursday, getting a goal and two assists in a performance that drew comparisons to Ryan Giggs as Manchester City humbled Arsenal 3-0.

Pep Guardiola expects De Bruyne to be in the running for the next Ballon D’Or given the spectacular performances he has consistently produced since August.

The Belgian is in the prime years of his career at 26 but his strongest competition for the game’s highest individual prize could come from a very familiar source.

Four years his junior, Sane has not yet achieved similar levels of consistency in his game but showed at the Emirates that when he is on song he is very difficult to stop.

“He can be one of the best in the world if he wants to be. It’s scary what he can do,” said De Bruyne.

“It’s different - Giggs did it for how many years? He’s a legend of the Premier League.

“Hopefully [Sane] can do the same and it will be beautiful.”

IN-SANE Leroy Sane and not Neymar is the REAL heir to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s crown

LEROY SANE grabbed the headlines at the Emirates on Thursday night as Manchester City picked apart Arsenal and beat the Gunners 3-0, again.

Sane has just come back from an ankle injury and despite lacking full-fitness, he was hugely impressive against Arsenal.

So just how far can Sane’s talent take him?

We asked Football Whispers to answer that particular question...

Pep Guardiola admitted after the win that Sane still lacks full fitness, but that didn’t stop him putting up several very impressive numbers.

He finished the game with six completed dribbles, 52 touches and found the target with 94.3 per cent of his 35 passes.

He was as good as anyone on the pitch, even if he is yet to full recover from his ankle problem.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: “It’s been a top, top season for Sane.

It stopped after his problem (injury) in Cardiff and he made a huge effort to get back - but his ankle is still not really good.

“He came to me and he said, ‘I want to help’. Today was the first game he played with his quality. He did really well for the first goal and scored the third. It was a really, really good game.”

Guardiola accepts Sane is far from the finished product, which makes his display against the Gunners more frightening.

Several talented players are positioning themselves in the tier below Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, hoping to one day be labelled as the best player in the world.

Sane is on his way to be included in that list.

Neymar may think he is the heir to that throne, but if the German continues to learn from the Catalan boss, and helps City succeed in Europe, he could go all the way.

Talented, extremely dangerous, and continuing to show a desire to improve, it’s clear City have a star on their hands.

Mhhh hope that ankle injury won’t become a problem . Sane is for sure very very fast with the ball stuck to his shoes ... and seems to also be a good finisher in front of goal so let’s see happy to see such talent and playing for Germany

Muller as 9 almost always fails, He needs a real 9 as the fodder

    I'll say smaller teams play

    --Gundo--Kroos
    -Muller--Reus--Sane
    ----------Werner

Bigger teams drop Reus or Sane for Khedira and play 4-3-3

    I would play like this:

    ----------------------Neuer----------------------
    Kimmich---Boateng---Hummels---Hector
    ---------------Kroos---Gundogan-------------
    Mueller-------------Oezil----------------Sane
    ---------------------Werner---------------------

Let Sane run the other team's RB into the ground, and then bring on Reus to compound their misery.

The general first team seems to be set in our minds .... but as above you can still change a few thing in the game like Reus khedira , goretska and maybe draxler or Götze ... really interesting and wondering and waiting patiently to see who loew will
Pick for the games in March .

I will never play Werner and Sane together in first XI....they are too inexperienced in NT set up.....Also one of Khedira/Goretzka/Can is a must for defensive stability....I will never field 2 of Gundogan/Ozil/Gotze together in first XI and will prefer to use Gundogan as Kronos back up in case Kroos gets suspended/injured.....a midfield of Kroos/Gundogan/Ozil is defensively vulnerable and Germany will get murdered in counter attack against France

well Werner and Sane have already played together both times vs England. The 1st time was Werner Senior NT debut where they should have scored in a combination but Sane was too selfish and went himself and shot instead of laying it to Werner which would have been a tap in. At that time, Sane's level was not as a good as now, as he's improved tremendously this season over the last. The 2nd time was that 0-0 in Nov, where they both played well. So they can play together.

Inexperience means nothing since we already did this. Anyone remembers 2010 WC
    -------------------Klose----------------------
    Podolski--------Ozil----------------Muller

who thought that tournament having 2 20 year olds in the starting XI for every game playing their 1st ever tournament would have gotten us to inflict the biggest WC defeat to both England and Argentina.

If your not willing to play the players of the future, then when will you? Both Sane and Werner are the future.

as for midfield, I think we are more likely to play 3 real midfielders vs a strong opponent. Nothing says Low has to use the same formation for every game. Could use 1 during the GS and another during the knockouts.

In 2010 Germany didn't have better choices...situation is different now as we have plethora of top class players...I am sure Jogi will not start Sane and Werner together if Germany is playing semifinal or final....

Low has always been about transition from older players to new players. It's one of his better qualities as a coach how he easily integrates the youth into the system. Him playing youth in 2010 was the transition period. It also wasn't just Ozil and Muller, also had Khedira, Boa, Neuer being starters. Basically half the XI was youth. If he starts Werner and Sane and they perform in the GS-onwards and link up well, why would you change that once you hit the SF/F?

soon enough we have to get rid of all the older players and make way for the future as all the key players are currently 27-31 years old.

I m still thinking Werner should be a sub.

We should see a front four like this

    ——Muller-—Oezil——Sane
    —————-—Reus

Werner can play a joker role perfectly and we need his pace n energy off the bench

I like this discussion guys great Input from all of you .

I agree that bringing in younger players is no problem at all. There are others Kimmich , Goetze , draxler , Kramer that all were young and started Important games ....

Sane has so much experience with Man City playing against the best so he is no issue at all . Yes werner might not be a starter every game.

Juts hope Jogi uses the players to their best ability with the right kind of mix . He is still prone to making some silly mistakes in big games for line ups .

Do you guys recon Germany 2018 is better then 2014?

I think Khedira’s position is a problem, he is still our best box to box midfielder.

4 years ago Kroos, Boateng, Hummels, Khedira, Neuer we’re in their prime.

Now some of them are aging n have been injured for long

I would bench Khedira and Neuer for now
