It seems you are describing Solari from parallel universe.

And what made him receive this revelation? Because it certainly didn't lead to the team playing better, Marcelo playing better, Reguillon playing better, chances weren't created, and we lost to top it off.

A few pages more in this thread, and you're going to claim Solari can part the red sea too.

Props to him today, he sent his team out there with the right attitude and also had the balls to bench a terrible Marcelo for a youngster who massively improves our defense. If he can do this week in and week out, sending the best line up out there based on merit not just names, there might be hope yet.

Big plus for benching Marcelo. It would be really good if Solari deals with this shit so the new manager doesn't have to spend energy and time on handling the old guard.

Yeah, he deserves praise today. They didn't really threaten. Energy of our boys was a huge change.

    No mortal compares to Zidane.

But let's not completely ignore what Solari brings to the table. That hair, no amount of money, genius or hair products could bring Zidane to that level.

Agreed, he should also get props for the other side of that coin, persisting with Luka who everyone was happy to drop, ( he needs games to improve) but of course when he is on his game he is one of the best and can drive our team forward and make things happen, a very fine line indeed and not as easy a job ( coach) as some would think

I wouldn’t give him props for sticking with Modric personally, it’s in fact the easiest thing to do, same thing his predecessor was doing, it’s doesn’t take any courage to do since Modric, despite his bad form until recently, is an established player here. Dropping Marcelo for a youngster on other hand takes courage and should be applauded.

The Ballon d'Or winner will always start in Madrid, no matter who the coach is.

If fit, Modric is on the starting 11 every week for me.

Even when he underperforms he is still better than our subs.
    Modric is crucial for us.

He lacks the vision that Modric has. Modric can open plays.. can see we have a bottleneck on one side and make a pass to the opposite side to create something different.. his understanding of the game is at a different level.
Ceballos is not there yet .. he will pass and handle pressure but he cannot penetrate and influence the game like Modric does.
Modric played bad the first month or two because he was exhausted from the summer but he has recovered his form.

An under performing Modric like we saw in many games this season and last seasn doesn't do those. He has high turn over rate and many mis placed passes. No one can play like an in form Modric but in the current situation i prefer Casemiro - Kroos (if he gives a fcuk) - Ceballos.
Casemiro - Eriksen - Ceballos would be good too.

The current situation is the game against Sevilla .
If Ceballos is gonna replace someone it should be Kroos. To replace Modric we need a better player IMO, otherwise we would lack control and creativity

I would love to see this. We would need to play with high energy and press well/high though.

I'd rather ask what people think of keeping Solari vs bringing in Mourinho.

    What's the choice?:D

Good god no. There will be high profile managers available come the end of the season. Just have to wait and see how the tournaments play out.

Most of them are low key cowards though and wouldn't take the job.
