Hmm. Varying points of views and it doesn’t devolve into one person taking a dump on the TOS just because they don’t agree with the other individual. Others could learn from the maturity you are displaying.
LOL. What much better strikes does Sweden have? What have Sweden and South Korea done recently to show they are much better than Iceland? There are a lot of things people can take from yesterday but the "Iceland sucks" isn't one of them.
Couple Of my takeaways from the game: 1. Reyes and layun both get lost in a 5 man backfield. 2. JJ Corona if he plays this summer he’ll have our back. 3. Vela HAS to be in the team. 4. Chucky may miss a game. Either two yellows or a red. He gets HOT. 5. Gallardo had a terrible game and was absent for 68 of the 70 minutes. 6. Our passing at the back has to be crisper and tackles timed better or Germany will eat it up like their B team did in the confeds. 7. The midfield is going to be where our fate is decided and we’ll need the most cohesive unit but also the most up in the air with Cambios. 8. How much did you contribute to el Teletón?!?
I hadn't seen his response, to me it looked different. I stand corrected since layun said himself. To the hermosillo poster, slow your roll, you don't want to compare IQs.
It's overdue. And you go way out of your way to keep from any objective analysis because club rivalries are more important to you than the NT... Dat tribalism...
They won't have enough possession of the ball to be a constant threat... Agree that one mistake is all it takes but I expect Mexico to have more possession and therefore create more opportunities.
For whatever's worth considering they were friendlies, but Korea got beaten by Northern Ireland today, while Sweden played like a CONCACAF minnow vs Chile.
That is not my intent. Never has been, never will be. Not sharing the same views should not be frowned upon but rather should be cultivated and nurtured to give birth to a better forum. Insulting someone is not my style, but if someone resorts to that, it doesn’t affect me in the least. Let them go low, I’ll stay sky high, flying with the majestic eagles.
Corona did enough to possibly be the second goalie ahead of Talavera, but let's not kid ourselves, Ochoa is still the guy offering the most upside, specially against a high caliber attack like Germany. Also, I'd add that Mexico should try long distance shots more often. Through most of the first half, Fabián's snipping action was the most dangerous threat to Iceland and then the goal came.
Am I the only one that thinks they played like complete shit and we deserved a tie at best?? Tecatito is but a shadow of his former self.. so sad
Iceland beside the two super clear cut chances they blew, had 4-5 easy open plays that any quality team would have put away against us..
I watched the game on univision but recorded the FS1 version I do not understand why they have Navarro as a commentator. His excitement over inconsequential parts of the match is unbearable. "Oh WOW, the ball went WAY too far for Layun!" "You can tell Osorio is VERY heated!" There's nothing added to the game. I don't care if they're nads, let Rob Stone or those other guys do it.
I doubt they'd want to. Navarro probably does the games for dirt cheap. He thinks his English is stellar and that this might be a stepping stone up the totem pole, maybe to even work with Joe Buck one day lol. Let him wallow in his delusions, it's entertaining to watch the train wreck.
