    (Kerr 23' 64', Butt 53')

Eyólfsson didn't start well his adventure with China NT. In his defence though he is only week into the job and today he started quite an experimental setup with few players out of their nominal positions. Good to see Tang Jiali, Ma Yun and Xu Yanlu back.
Matildas Kerr's still on fire. Her second goal especially is quite nice.

Any videos of the complete game? Sometimes Matildas games surface on YouTube.

I've never seen so many seagulls on a football field before: do they have a bredding farm for them at that venue? o_O

The seagulls are a real annoyance at all sports stadiums in Melbourne. They are attracted to the lights and the opportunity of a free feed on leftovers after the crowds have left. After watching enough games you don't even notice them any more. One of them gets hit by the ball in this game.

Running joke 'bout France allowing Germany to win in order to keep Jones her job is getting less funny by the passing minutes...:p

here's the full #2 Germany & #3 France match. I would recommend watching after the 10th minute, that's when the Germans take over.
    1st half

    2nd half

comment: I've been a big fan of the lil munchkin, Linda Dallmann(#16) I remember how I was panned & even insulted by some of the BS bloggers, four years ago when I said she' be Germany's future(she only made the NT last year.. I'm just so glad that finally Jones decided to make her AM instead of the somewhat overrated Maro.. Dallmann don't score goals but she makes things happen. She definitely makes things happen in this one.
I also recommended Popp as a lone striker(she aces it) & giving Huth enough space to work with as a wide winger(she obliterates the French defense)

But most overall, the current state of woso seems to be whoever has the strongest press wins, in this game, the Germans press hard, the comatose French, don't press period. I think that was the most telling about the one sided outcome of the game

Dang, I hadn't even realized that CRC and MEX were playing each other...

Definitely not good for Medina, (he'll get one more chance against CRC later today, I see,) but to be fair to him, the CRC-MEX matchup hasn't been going Mexico's way for some time now. MEX has lost to CRC in all three of their meetings over the past four years.

Another unimpressive performance from the French. But to be fair, the new coach seems to want to try out new players from their so called amateur teams(the French League's nine bottom feeders)/ Just don't get why against against such strong opposition? And she's still using veterans like Dellie, Henry, Majri, Le Sommer, Renard, Georges. New or old, none of them have looked impressive in these last two games. I can't sympathize too much, I really liked their former coach, Echouafrni. Poor guy got fired after only loosing 0-1 to the tactical genius that Sampson, He must be thinking, how do you like me now" especially after the new coach whole sale destruction at the hands of Germany, (0-4)

As for Sweden; they didn't play with oldtime vets like Fisher & Schelin. Had a fairly good new one in Glas(outside-mid). Seems like Erickosn trying to step outside the shadow of her more popular gf(Pernile), & make a reputation for herself by chomping down Frenchies left & right(only got a yellow for it)

    here's highlights
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6aok2z

Mexico has a huge player pool to choose from, but I really don't who their top 11 would be. Their lineup is in the first minute of the link below, Looks like they finally got Spanish League leading scorer, Coral(after banished so long by Cueller) But missing quality players like, Romero, Ocampo, Noyola, Rangel & where the heck was Katie Johnson?.
League champions, Chivas, had several good players; Palafox(striker), Morales(mid) & their agile GK, Felix.(who should easily replace their slowpoke, Santiago) None of them are currently rostered NT's. But I did read that Medina took several players from America(the club), which did win the regular season.

One final disappointing note for Medina might be added, top youth players, Sofia Huerta, deciding to go with the USWNT instead & Tanya Samarzich(U of Kentucky) just suffered her 2nd ACL in 3 years

some big friendlies coming this weekend starting with Norway vs Scotland in a few hours, this site claims to have it live
    https://www.fotball.no/fotballdata/kamp/?fiksId=6905767

hopefully it's not from La Manga as their camera work usually sucks from that location. Enuff said about Norway, but hopefully Scotland plays their new knight in shinning armor, Emslie(didn't play at Euros), she really looks good for Man City, outshining most of the English NT's on that team. As well as Italian league leading scorer, Clelland(barely played at Euros). They wouldn't have their erstwhile defender, Corsie(out on injury) but should have Bundesliga's Sophie Howard instead at CB(didn't wither play at Euros). So be interesting to see how the new & improved Scots do vs Trumps very favorite foreign country! lol

looks like Trump won again; 3-0. Here's a site that claim it will streamline today's Holland vs Spain game.

Shlj, please don't tell us this is from La Manga too, I've seen local middle schools produce better camera work!

and remember the big game Sunday, as Jill Ellis's world famous
tomato can smashers' take on the one man wrecking crew named Pernille Harder(yep, that says it all!)
