Friedel and Lichaj start for Villa. Guzan on the bench. Game starts at 10 am on FSC.

Looks like Lichaj will be matched up against David Silva today.

Lichajhad Bale to deal with on Boxing day and now will have David Silva. Yikes  Hopefully he'll be up to it.

Can I also just take a moment to state how much I hate Mario Balotelli?

Any chance of a non-5-Live radio stream for this one? I've got some tasty rep...

Balotelli's petulance should provide a sub-plot to this one. Will he sulk himself into oblivion again?

Spoke too soon. Lichaj wrestles him to the ground for a legit penalty. Damn.

Balotelli down in the box as Lichaj is charged with the penalty...

    1-0 City.

You can't give players like that an excuse to dive. Oh well.

Yeah. Lichaj wrapped his arms around him. But, Balotelli did take a fall.

Eric didn't even do a good job of hiding it... You can't use your arms like that.

Should have been a foul on Lescott for holding off Agbonlahor.

Balotelli was offside but the goal was allowed. Friedel saved it right into his path. :(

    3-0 City.

Balotelli looked to be a half yard offside but Lichaj was caught ball watching.

I think I now officially wish Lichaj was indeed matched up against Silva. That's two Balotelli has gotten off of him. Me and my big mouth.

Lets hope he gets a chance. Good news though, rumors are that Luke Young is heading to West Ham...
