Results validated yesterday as Lyon did not follow up on their technical reserve put during the game about the late restart. Basically the Ligue Professionelle de Football regulations say that if the game is interrupted for more than 45 intes, the match is postponed and restart from scratch at another date. The game restarted more than an hour after stopping. So Lyon put a technical reserve. Unfortunately for them that rule does not apply to the Coupe de France feminine, hence they had not chance of getting the result overturned.
Since nobody else saw fit to mention it: Lyon also had a 93rd-minute equalizer disallowed, apparently because the PSG keeper crashed into one of her own players: 1002311185881018368 is not a valid tweet id
The D1 Feminine 2018/19 calendar has been unveiled. As usual 22 games. Season will start and finish early due to the World Cup at home 25/08/18 to 04/05/19.
That's probably why Saki Kumagai wasn't released by OL for Tournament of Nations? OL is in pre-season already?
Yes, pre-season started for the teams as follows Monday 16 July Fleury Lille Lyon Metz Montpellier PSG Tuesday 17 July Bordeaux Dijon Thursday 19 July Rodez Monday 23 July Guingamp Paris FC Soyaux
interesting signing by PSG(guess to wake up that sleeping giant of Chinese woso fans, lol) Le #PSG fait signer aujourd’hui l’attaquante chinoise Wang Shuang pour deux ans. La joueuse est à Schenzen actuellement— Loïc Tanzi (@Tanziloic) August 2, 2018 PSG is trying to sign Sam Kerr as well, but the Australian Fed. made it in no uncertain terms that they need her back in their W-League(to help continue development in that country) so they did push up the ante to cover what her Perth club can't afford. PSG along with Lyon were also interested in Jackie Groenen, but apparently being out bidded, as she was lately spotted making trips over to Turin(home of new woso powerhouse Juvuntus)
looks like the league is spreading the talent around, Marie Delie leaves PSG for Mets 🙌 Merci à toi @MarieLaureDelie pour ces 5 ans 🔴🔵Bon courage pour la suite 💪 #MerciMarieLaure https://t.co/kOICwmew7c— PSG Féminines (@PSG_Feminines) August 8, 2018 I know the hottest women's threat been eliminated & will possibly handed a yellow card by one of those meanie mods, but amour is in the air when I saw this classy pic of Amandine Henry
It sounds exciting that the games will all be live too. Thanks for the article.. - https://mywomensfootball.wordpress....nine-games-to-be-shown-live-on-tv-in-2018-19/ (Archived)
2018/19 season kickoff is in two days. Fixtures from https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/RES_FEM.html SAMEDI 25 AOÛT 2018 Fleury (F) - Paris-SG (F) Dijon (F) - Montpellier (F) Paris FC (F) - Guingamp (F) Soyaux (F) - Rodez (F) Metz (F) - Bordeaux (F) has been Reporté! Oh mon dieu. (Due to players' involvement in the U20 WWC semi-final) https://translate.google.com/transl...ines/metz-bordeaux-reporte&edit-text=&act=url DIMANCHE 26 AOÛT 2018 Lille (F) - Lyon (F)
Matchday 1 results Metz - Bordeaux postponed as Metz had 2 players in the U20 squad at the World Cup They actually had five in the squad, but the rule is player counted as senior who were at the club last season and played in the last two club games. Fleury 0 PSG 1 Dijon 0 MHSC 1 Soyaux 3 Rodez 1 PFC 2 Guingamp 0 LOSC 0 OL 8 Only Lyon managed to make their game easy. All the other big teams struggled.
Wow, so it was a pretty much Metz-fuelled U-20 team! Who these players were? I followed most of France's matches at U-20 WWC, but I actually wasn't aware of club affiliations (apart from obvious ones, as Bacha at OL or Katoto at PSG). Looks like another season of OL dominance is waiting for us...
Both, Simon at LB Majri on the wing ( Majri does not want to play at LB with OL and made it a condition for renewing at OL) Justine Lerond GK, Pauline Dechilly DF, Helene Fercoq MF, Christy Gavory MF, Amelie Delabre FW Pauline and Christy were the only players that fullfilled the criteria. Lerond was a U-19 last year, Delabre and Fercoq were playing for other clubs.
a few rumors coming out of Lyon(but so far, nothing official) they've just signed Jessica Fishlock. & they're after Lynn Williams(this might be hard since Lynn's fighting for a spot on the US NT and Ellis usually likes her players to be readily available for her/not playing in Europe) on the other hand, the Portland Thorns are interest in getting Ada Hegerberg for the summer(reasonable choice since Ada right now don't to play for Norway in the WC)
Wow, I can see a player like Fishlock wanting a change of pace. If she does go to France, Seattle will find it very hard to replace her. As for getting Williams, what, does Lyon not score enough goals already?!
Fishlock for sure is going to Lyon, the only thing we don't know as of yet is it on lone or will Lyon take her over per contract Williams is a bit of speculation based on an odd twitter that Lyon will announce by next week a "American rookie forward" signing. Lyons's mindset in the past been signing top players from teams that beaten them; 5 years ago Potsdam eliminated them in the CL playoffs, so they went & bought off Ada Hegerberg & Paula Bremer from them. their main competition in the CL this year will probably not be Wolfsburg(who had a rather weak back line) but Bayern Munich who this season bought off what seems like could be the entire starting lineup of the German NT. btw.......Arsenal didn't make the CL for this year, even though I think they'll win this season's English league(based on their huge purchases)
This page published today on OL's website confirms that it's just a loan: I am going to translate for non-French-speakers: "OL women's team made a big hit on the last day of transfer market, Friday the 12th of September. Midfielder Jessica Fishlock joins Reynald Pedros' roster until the end of the season, on loan from American club Seattle Reign FC, where she was playing along with former Lyon's player Megan Rapinoe and where she just had to bow [to Portland] in play-offs' semifinals". So it looks like Fishlock just changed her destination for NWSL off-season, from Australia to France.
Hegerberg had just signed contract extension (few months back). I guess loan option could work during French&CL off season, aside of that it's rather unlikely...
