Yeah, what the heck is going on with his club situation? It's already August. That's one reason for the call up obviously. As we know Klinsmann has been contacting players that are without clubs. Hopefully Freddy will start and the showcase will bring some attention.
I think there's hardly any question that he will start. He personifies almost everything Klinsi has said he wants, and he was one of the best on the field in the last 2 games the USMNT played.
I think he may be going out on loan again. I am not sure where though. France seems like the obvious choice IMHO.
This would be my dream destination for him. I seriously think he would be better suited for BL than anywhere else. They teach/coach the areas of his game where he needs to grow most, and they value the areas of his game where he is strongest. Please Freddy, if you have a choice - Go to Germany!
I wish he'd come back to MLS, play for Red Bulls for 3 years, get loaned to Mexico this winter, and be in the hunt for AM position (battle vs. Holden) for WC 14. New York needs the 'Freddy pop' to sell out that stadium more regularly.

No problem. I'm wrong all the time. Btw, I didn't say he would never play in the top flight. So, I won't be wrong unless his very next team is a Bundesliga team. And I just don't see a 1. BL team picking him up at this point in his career. That's all.
