PBP: Freddy Adu: Belenenses vs. Nacional [R] 10/12 3:15 EDT

not a good game.

Adu tries some fancy stuff in teh corner, comes to nothing as ball deflects to keeper

 

Is it me or are the commentators mentioning Freddy alot?

 

Pretty even game so far....Lima with a headed shot off a freekick into keepers arms.

Adu earns a dangerous freekick from top of the penalty arc...

Freddy gets a bit lucky to win a free kick. Looks rusty with his touch, but did get fouled in a dangerous position. Subsequent shot on goal (not from Adu) was very close.

 

Yup, he does seem rusty.

Belenses defender clears over his own goal...almost a OG. Nothing on resulting corner.

 

This isn't to bad a level of football. Props to the Portugese 2nd Division.

 

I believe this is the 1st division.

adu shoots on goal but pretty much right at the keeper and low.

 

Difficult half volley shot on the run by Adu. He did well to get as much of it as he did.

 

Freddy with the nice volley at the top of the box. At the keeper, though, and saved. Wouldn't have counted anyway due to a prior foul or offsides.

Later, Freddy tried to spring a player for a 1 on 1, but he and the rest of the team aren't always on the same page yet. (Nobody chased his pass.)

 

They're calling out the Nacional LB alot, which makes it confusing since his name is Abdou or something like that.
