I agree. Apparently he's going pretty good though from what I've heard. Hopefully. That would be amazing to see him play for this team one day.
Why wouldn't you want to comment on the player or the man. All rivalry aside, if you honestly believe the idiotic things you have posted about him in the rivalry thread, I feel for you.
Totti himself said that his son isn't as talented as he was. There might be too much pressure on him if he were to play for us. So he will probably go to Cagliari and make us pay.
I'm not one for sentiments but ********, a huge part of me is missing now. Ever since I've known football I've known Totti. I have no ties to the city of Rome bar a young boys admiration of the majesty of Totti, that admiration has held through to my adult life. It's hard to accept that I will never see Totti on the pitch again, even though every year I've been preparing myself thinking this must be his last year. Growing up always being able to see Totti play each weekend it really feels like a bereavement to know he won't ever wear the giallorossi again. I thank him for his service to this club and for push head over heels for this club, daje Roma. C'e solo un Capitano
Obviously I don't know this but maybe he said that for a reason. His some might be a little to cocky or needs that extra motivation or maybe it takes pressure off of him who knows. Only he knows his son's personality.
But he was there on the bench. You know the games we lost or drew this season. There was always the hope in me he'd come on and open a defense with a single play like he did in the 2nd half of last season. From now on it won't be the same.
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=427451157631993 I saw Totti play live two times. The first time was at Olimpico on October 1st, 2000, against Bologna, the season opener. Totti scored the first goal, just before the half, in a 2:0 victory. That was the Scudetto year. The second time was in Kaiserslautern Germany on June 17th, 2006, for the Italian national team against the USA in the World Cup, in a 1:1 draw. I wish I could have seen him more times.
pass out? pfffft! i'm a grown ass man, i don't pass out from alcohol! (crying for totti is a different story)
I don't want to even think of the future right now but this amazing moment helped. "Ho dato quella fascia a Mattia Almaviva perché è forte veramente. - Francesco Totti Amazing words. Which brings me to thinking. Who will wear 10 next? I personally would make it so that for at least a minimum of 3-5 years it doesn't get touched out of respect. Then when someone worthy (and I use worth loosely as nobody will ever be ad worth as Toyti) of it comes around we give it to them.
Definitely wait a few years unless we are about to sign Messi. Whoever wears that jersey is going to be scrutinized for anything that isn't perfection.
Yup there definitely isn't anyone worthy that I can think of who we can realistically get, and even still, it shouldn't be worn out of respect for a while. The next person who puts it on has to be made clear of what is expected of them. They take that jersey knowingly. I have no sympathy, there are no surprises.
