Im not denying that. Thus, "on average". And with educated I mean educated in knowing how to use the tools to act as a sophisticated citizen. Im not talking about school/uni education in general.
I really noticed thus stuff on recent trips to the UK My taxi driver started raving about Merkel's plan to bring 1m muslims into Germany from africa. I was like "what the hell are you talking about?" He was certain Merkel was a left wing politician who would soon lose the election But it wasn't just him. The business people I met with - all well informed and highly educated people, were all shocked to learn Merkel would likely win the election. Where do they get this idea? Well it turns out that they hear constantly in the English speaking media about how she is in big trouble from AfD This is the same reason why so many English and Americans thought Le Pen would win. They don't even realise that ideas like FREXIT are unpopular even amongst Le Pen voters.
"Indoctrinated" In Colorado Springs, schools love to pass out those pocket Constitutions with focking CATO Institute or Heritage Foundation logos on them....
The other night I was taking a long Uber from Gatwick to Central London and the driver was listening to LBC They had an 30min programme about McDonalds UK getting rid of zero hours contracts for workers. Except the "programme" was actually the radio personality giving his personal opinion that most McDonalds workers actually would not want full time contracts. it was literally surreal because this was after he had explained that if you have a zero hrs contract you can't get a phone contract, mortgage etc even if you worked with McDs for 5 years. So the whole thing was set up as how liberals had fought for this change the workers did not want and ruined the free market. This political pollution is where people get their ideas from!
Indeed....You lost your bet by a nice margin. You may have to change your avatar for a week to either Carter Page or the Trump son, Don Junior I think...The dumbest one...So pick your poison between those two idiots!
This may have been mentioned already, one major difference between the UK/UK and France/Germany and to a certain extend most of Europe, is the absence of rightwing rags/tabloids/TV's (Mirror, Daily mail, Enquirer, FOX TV etc) in Continental Europe. I don't think we can even estimate the impact of Fox TV on the US culture and politics. It is simply toxic.
This! In average 3 of 4 French voters wants to stay in the EU and are against getting out of the single currency /Euro.
LBC has some ridiculous people on it tbh, it's mostly just provocative shock stuff. Although James O Brian is the best thing on UK radio, maybe all UK media.

The echoes to what happened to the Flemish nationalists over here are quite interesting. They too fell apart in two separate movements in the early 1980s, one of which tried to get away from its own dark past, whilst the other half embraced that legacy.
