It's been a while since I've seen a BS draft, and I don't know if the elections forum ever has, but in honor of Election Day, and to lighten the mood a bit the next three days, I propose a Founding Fathers Draft. We will start on Monday morning and I would keep it tight: 30 - 40 total selections, so just 3-5 rounds depending on the number of participants. You get to decide what constitutes a "founding father", though if you are going to take cues from Sarah Palin and list John Quincy Adams as a founding father, you will have to give extensive justification. Voting will commence after Election Day and anyone on the elections forum is welcome to vote. Of course, comments from the peanut gallery are always welcome.

    Any takers?

What if I want to list Sarah Palin?

You must denounce your party affiliation first.

    OK, so far we've got...

    Val
    Brummie
    Nutter
    Knave

This would be a rather pointless draft with these numbers, so we'll see how many people have signed up by Monday noon.

Oops...I though the last word in the title was Daft! Either way works. Present company appears eminently qualified. :)

    Oops. So you're in???

    Then we've got:
    Val
    Brummie
    Nutter
    Chaski
    Knave

Despite all of us being vegetarians and getting two votes, it's still a light draft...

I am in, though I am likely to be light on the justifications for my picks.

As a charter member of the "Know Nothing Party"...what have I got to lose. But....as ole Abe once said [modern version], "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear an idiot than open it and remove all doubt. Of course, as everyone is aware, this is why BS leaves no stone unturned when seeking to replace burnt out Mods with fresh meat.

I'm just a rambling man. I ramble a lot. :coffee:

I'm having a bad day at the office, I'll have to post rules (such as they are) and draft order this evening.

RULES!! Nobody mentioned there would be rules. This is P&CE...why set rules when you full well know nobuddy is gonna care.

How about Laws instead. You could have, say, 17 written ones with 1 unwritten one that would cover the thousands of disputes caused by the first 17! I've personally experienced how great that works!
