The good news is that these upgrades are fewer between. I remember when they were almost weekly. I wonder though, why this site has to go offline and others (Facebook, Google, etc) can seemingly do it without anyone noticing? Is it because the forums themselves are being upgraded vs the overall site? Is it because those larger sites have (assuming) multiple servers in multiple locations so that if a few go down, it's no big deal?
