Looks like Badji still can't shoot on frame in 1v1s with the goalie: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/10/21/shot-dominique-badji-just-misses-wide-target
Last night a Portland player took a red to stop Badji on a breakaway. Should have just let him miss I guess.
Gotta rep that, the more wide open the better (warn the spectators), value of scouting your opposition.
I give him one year in LigaMX ... he's crazy to leave the stability of an MLS coaching job for that insanity

Been there. Done that. I just didn’t blast it on social media. She did though. Probably why I got the house and kiddo. Be smart JJ. Be really smart JJ. Don’t play the the “game” like you played game on the pitch.
If didn’t take Sam Hamilton long to find employment. He was signed by new USL Championship side, New Mexico United.
Yup. Ugh! I never liked Big Red when he played for us or when he played anyone else really but damn does he fits a glove into Tata Martino’s lineup. He does sooooooo many things right for ATL. My hat, begrudgingly, goes off to Jeff. He earned it. He is part of a very special Atlanta United side. Historic.

Enzo Martinez is returning to Charlotte and the USL Championship inking a deal with the Independence. Good for him. It’s a level where his talents will shine. Good for him. Big signing for the Independence and he will be will better with a year of MLS under his belt.
I have some friends in Charlotte, they loved Enzo there and are excited for him to return. Agree with your commentary above.
Marc Burch joins Memphis 901 FC. I can't find an announcement yet, but this was in the paper this morning.
Jared Watts announced his retirement today:: 5 years ago I played my first preseason game on that field in Houston. It’s also the last field I’ll ever play on as a professional. Its not ending the way I dreamed it would, but the last 5 years have been better than I could have ever dreamed. Feel a bit bad for the guy. He seemed to give a fair effort. Just never seemed to be the right guy for us. My nephew is going through a similar situation (a couple levels lower, however). It is sad, but the reality of the sport, I suppose. rod.
