    1. I think I should choose the window for Central European Time, since I prefer bot to post after 9pm (10pm CET) and don't want to hold people up. Although I reside in England so BST (GMT +1) is the literal answer.

    2. Leicester City.

    3. Michel Hidalgo.

That's all subject to not teaming up with Puck, in which case I guess we'd come up with a merged idea. At the moment there are still only 12 teams though, but I guess me and Puck will still have a conversation by PM to decide by the end of the weekend, although hopefully the linked player roles did help him feel more confident in setting up to play the game (with poetgooner's advice and help available too, in case of queries).

There's only 12 of us, so lets stay active!

The database has been finalized. No more changes. I want to start Monday, so please get your information in. Thanks!

I'm not gonna run the American league, as it'll slow down the game too much. Can you pick from the selected leagues? Cheers!

Sorry to hear that. In my experience, it takes about as much as time a normal online fantasy league (so about 15-20 min per week).

Here is the new tournament format:
    https://challonge.com/bigsoccerfmdraft

The top 2 teams from the 4-teams group and the top team from the 3-teams group gets a bye in the knockout. The bottom 6 teams play each other in the first round of knockout.

Oh, I just PM'd Puck and suggested it might be best to go solo so we have 12 teams (but could ask for a group of 6 and 5; but anyway now I see that you'd go 4-4-3) but if you like you can tell us how it'd be with 10 teams and if that might seem better, before we finalise the decision.

I'm assuming we'd possibly end up with Feyenoord and Hidalgo (and would definitely be ok on Central European Time) if we teamed up!

Not to dissuade thebigman from taking part in the end still, as I think he'd be a good drafter (and has been a good team-mate in previous drafts for me) and I think eventually the gameplay might be simpler than both him and Puck realise in terms of setting up the teams (I guess we send our choices of roles, formation and team tactics to you before each game secretly by PM so we are not fully sure how the opposition will line up), but I guess if he doesn't change his mind quickly then we'd at least be down to 11 indeed.

After a PM I received from PDG I' be in favor of teaming up with PDG to make it two groups of five.

Feyenoord and Hidalgo it is then for PDGVanHeel!

And Central European Time definitely suits us best.

I can team up with another player or go solo if that will help anything.

It could be good for me and Puck to see the drafting order (not necessarily the final groupings for the games though) fairly soon, so that any discussion about our first pick can begin (with the knowledge of how many drafters pick before us in the first round), and then we'll probably be ready whenever it does come around to our turn.

La-Maquina's team choice will be interesting now that Juventus has gone! Maybe he'll be building a super squad in Bournemouth for the 'Cherries' fans to watch!? I wouldn't bet against him choosing a different Italian team though (Sampdoria perhaps, if I take a random-ish guess!).

The thread will be set up tonight. You Europeans are up first, and the Americans later.

I don't know where La-Maquina lives, so I've stuck him smack in the middle of the two group, so he'll either be the last European-zone to pick, or the first American-zone.

Cool, thanks. We'll be able to make a pick before 10pm CET (nearly 10 hours from now) for sure, but Puck might be able to pick a bit later or we could leave a shortlist if there's a slow-ish start.

I'm not 100% but think La-Maquina will be in England or Italy, so that should work well.
