i mean its hard to say. LDU were definitely confident. i think from the start of the PKs, i didnt really have a guess on who was going to win for example -- unlike Croatia-Turkey where you pretty much knew Croatia was done for. but i think by the first Flu miss i had an idea that LDU were gonna come out on top.

cevallos was amazing though with those shenanigans. hahaha. i guess i cant really blame thiago neves. he did basically everything your star player would do. i mean a hat trick.

i hope they beat Man U now. :D

Ah, it seems that in the end Fluminense's people are getting their medals, odd it looked like they just left the pitch right after the last penalty.

Maracanzo must have fluttered in the minds of those players the moment they had to take their penalties, it's only natural not wanting to succumb under pressure

It wasn't that, no. They just looked at the shirts they are wearing and remembered that they aren't supposed to win a title of this magnitude.

These commentators don't know a damn thing they are mixing up Cevallos with Mora in WC 2006.

Just want to say that... if there was ever a time I saw a team lose a title that was completely its for the taking, it was Fluminense this year.

Mengao86: agora quando o Mengao jogar com o Flu, a Nacao Rubro-Negra vai pegar no pe do Renato Gaucho? :D

I honestly would've felt just as happy if Flu had won. I had initially been rooting for Liga but after seeing Flu take out Boca the way they did, they definitely impressed me. Either team could've won this and nobody could complaint, because for every Guerron there's a Thiago Neves, for every Conca there's a Manso... both teams played attractive South American footie.

Now, I'm pretty sure Guerron has already been sold to Getafe... not sure who else ahs been sold, but if this team is disarmed this early the mission to defeat Man. Utd. will become very difficult.

What Cevallos did to Neves has to be repeated against a European team one day. Their fault if they don't want to learn art by not watching.

Logico.

lol.. The confetti when LDU lifted the trophy was red, green, and white. I think a "certain team" were a little too confident that they would win the Libertadores.

Im sad as a Flu fan, but i think both teams were worthy champions so it could have gone either way. 4-2 and 3-1 you cant get a more exciting final then that. Congrats to LDU.
