    I prefer 'Capoeira Master'.

Sensei is a karate teacher - which is an aggressive fight.

Capoeira masters have a more defensive posture.

    Notwithstanding, don't provoke them :D ...

Fluminense Beats Vitória-BA 2 x 1 in the 11th Round of The 2008 Brasileirão and Guarantees Flamengo as the Absolute Leader 5 Points Ahead from the Runner-Ups!!!!!...

    BRASILEIRÃO 2008
    (12th/13th July)
    11th Round

    1º Flamengo 26
    2º Cruzeiro 21
    3º Grêmio 21
    4º Vitória 20
    5º Palmeiras 18
    6º Náutico 17
    7º São Paulo 17
    8º Figueirense 16
    9º Internacional 15
    10º Vasco 14
    11º Sport 14
    12º Coritiba14

If Flu hadn't won, Vitória-BA now could be tied with Fla in the leadership.
And to think that there are people who - just out of local hatred - roots against it!!!...

Did it take you one hour to input all those colors and pictures and stuff...?

    :D

I'm still very much thinking you're the only one thanking Flu for something as menial as this... :p

Why that bothers you so much?...

If I have one reglamentary hour to edit a post in a thread that I know all of you read but pretend to ignore, I think it's natural that I do my best to convey its message in the most effective way...

Besides the colours, sizes, fonts mechanics is absolutely simple: you're simply not used to make use of them & think it's complicated...

I'll tell you what really bothers you.

It's the fact that, at each of those posts, more and more you get (unwillingly, I'm sure) convinced of the initial (and victorious) thesis of this thread: that I, Zico and the majority of the conscious Flamengo rooters have absolutely no problems about rooting even for a 'mortal' rival when the circumstances demand.
Simple (don't burn your precious neuronions because of that).

It's because I'm the ONLY REAL Flamengo rooter that has participated of this thread up to here! ;) ...

And being in first place in my championship (the Brasileirão, one of the toughest leagues in the world - if not the most...) will be everything but 'menial' to us...

It doesn't bother me at all. Why would it bother me? I was just trying to rile you up and it worked. :D

Thanks for assuming, but no. It has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the thread (which was rather pointless to begin with) in which you were proven wrong many times.

It has to do with reality, and how it punches you in the face. :D I'm PRETTY damn sure Flamengo fans are worried about the performance of their OWN team as opposed what either Flu can do to help you to stay on top or what Vitoria is doing to catch up to Flamengo.

You are either a very insecure fan... or worse yet... a Fluminense fan like Mengao initially pointed out. :)

    OK, I believe you.

I imagine you believe yourself too.

In football (the most impredictable of all sports) there are no 'secure' fans...
You got serious now, didn't you?...
'Punch me in the face'? Now, seems you got very ANGRY...
Man, now you really riled me up :p ...

And don't bring up Mengão's name here - let's respect his silence.

    REQUIESCAT IN PACEM. AMEN.

    9º Internacional 15
    10º Vasco 14
    11º Sport 14
    12º Coritiba 14

Giving sequence to our series of lessons on 'How to Root', let's consider now the 12th round of the Brasileirão:

    http://esportes.terra.com.br/futebol/brasileiro/2008/interna/0,,OI2673708-EI11421,00.html

    16/07 Sport 2 x 2 Grêmio
    16/07 Botafogo 4 x 0 Ipatinga

    16/07 Portuguesa 3 x 2 Náutico
    16/07 Figueirense 3 x 0 Santos

    16/07 Cruzeiro x Atlético-PR

    16/07 Palmeiras 3 x 1 Fluminense

    16/07 Vitória 0 x 1 São Paulo

    17/07 Internacional x Atlético-MG
    17/07 Coritiba x Flamengo
    17/07 Vasco x Goiás

As we see, Fluminense (which is in 18th place) AGAIN plays an important game for Flamengo to remain in that comfortable place in the table, since Palmeiras is a strong team and its 5th place is illusory in a long tournament like the Brasileirão (38 rounds).

So, once more we are ‘Fluminense rooters since our childhood’ (the game is 3 x 1 to Palmeiras now, what really doesn't matter, since if we want too have the advantadge, our duty is to root for the worst placed).

In spite of some of our ‘flamengo’ fellows, who naïvely prefer to blindly keep hating the glorious ‘tricolor’ and see it going to Série B than seeing us champions.

Besides, tonight and tomorrow we root ‘since the craddle’ for:

‘a tie btw Sport and Grêmio’ (which ended up happening), ‘a victory of Portuguesa over Náutico (which ended up happening too), at least ‘a tie btw Cruzeiro x Atlético Paranaense’ (which is happening), ‘at least a tie btw Vitória x São Paulo’ (it’s 1 x 0 for SP now, which is not a bad result for Fla), ‘at least a tie btw Internacional x Atlético Mineiro’ tomorrow, ‘at least a tie btw Vasco x Goiás’, and of course ‘a victory of Flamengo over Coritiba’, although a tie is not bad since we’re playing at the adversary’s home.

See how many clubs we can ‘root for’ and not be ashamed of ‘betraying’ our beloved Famengo colours?...

That’s called in football (scribble that down quick, Caturro and MetroChile, please, so you don’t forget):
    Intelligent rooting’.

Besides, we'll always wish a good campaign in the Brasileirão for our city ‘rivals’, what will only let our town more & more respected in the world of football.

As in the good old times.

LOL. You keep attacking me for no apparent reason. :p
And if you're gonna talk about supporting multiple teams...it can't get much lower than you as you "cheer" for both Fla and Flu. ;)

:p 'Attacking'? 'With no apparent reason'? Where? Who?...

So when it's me, I'm 'attacking', when its you, it's what?...

Getting back to where our conversation started (#159):
Just because in that moment you tried to disguise your unavoidable anger by putting that 'emoticon' there you pretend to make me believe you're being 'gentle'?...
    So we're even.

Correction: you do beat me :D ...

    Look, Metro,

In this whole thread I've been making use of arguments (and sound ones), not bullshitting like Caturro, Devil and some others.

Even Mengão86 and Crismerz among very few others tried in the middle of a lot of bullshitting too to use some reasoning.

But if we are to be clowns, no problem, I'll follow the 'troupe' :p ...

    OK, Mr. Avatar!...

    But you provoked!...

At that point of the thread you had already 'awarded' me with 3 versions of...'chameleons' (besides that horrible old lady you chose to 'portray me) :( ...

'Chameleons'? 'Viados'? T'was just a playful exchange of 'animals'.

Should consider my response in the appropriate context: #125 .

Besides, in your case, since you compared me to a filthy and mischievous lizard, I, on my turn, felt in the right to compare you to such an interesting mammal - less in function of its arguable 'masculinity' than of its similar ability to almost imperceptibly disguise itself among the rosebuds, orchids, tulips and bumblebees of the meadows :D ...

Don't worry, buddy, we all know you're 'tough', and we are all proud of you.

And I'm not 'chamaleonic' at all! :) ...

Just 'dance' according to the 'music': if the results interest us of course.

Good results for Flamengo (just follow the table above)!...

    Thanks to those 2 'tricolores'...

    Grêêêêê-mi-ôôôô!...

    Hatred? What for?...

Leave that for the losers  ...

And another Rio's team getting far from Série B, how great that is to our city...
