theres something about a booster club on Boca's website, but so far no...
but if anyone wants to get something going for boca count me in, heck I already have some ideas for chants

Flash vs Boca, part 2 tomorrow night at Balboa stadium. 7 pm.
Big game for a lot of reasons...

*Local derbies are big anyway, and this one especially given the history of the clubs.

*Flash are still unbeaten on the field, and Boca haven't lost in their last couple.

*Boca needs to win to stay alive in the playoff picture...a Flash win (combined with a Santa Ana win) would mathematically eliminate them.

    Should be fun!

wow. i would love to see this game.

being from north county, my allegiances will skew flash-wise. but im a fan of both teams on facebook. i want to see both teams grow in support and see it take larger precedence. San Diego loves soccer. so are there any games left for either team in the bay area? ill go and support either san diego team.

what a night for San Diego soccer, the support was there, the atmosphere was there, and sure enough the goals and excitement were there

if you didn't hear Boca won 3-2 in dramatic fashion
and flash played a good part in that drama :D
I'm just gonna comment on some things:
the crowd was fantastic! fans from both sides sat together and filled up the 3 sections of the home side
    easily well over 700 people
both sides provided plenty of banter and great humor
but ultimately flash's own fans took it a little too far with throwing the water bottle at the assistant ref(?) and while everyone was looking at what happened(including some of the players) Boca took the freekick and scored!3-2! in added time!

it was a great night and quite a memorable game

Well said! Flash's starting line up was missing multiple starters that came on in the second half creating the goals. Flash was its only worst enemy tonight. Start with your 1st string players and then sub in inferior players, if you want to win the game.
Boca came out hard and fast with a quick goal and tough play. Congrats to Boca for using all their tools to beat the undefeated Flash.
    Well done Boca!!

Was it anywhere near the 2,000 people Boca is claiming showed up?

The stands on the one side of Balboa was full. So it is hard to tell. But is was a very good crowd.

I went online to see if any media covered the game or even mentioned it, but only soccernation, boca site, facebook and this site mentioned anything about the game

bit surprised Union Tribune didn't have someone at the game

I'm not. The Sports Editor, Jay Posner, openly hates soccer so why would he want to spend extra money and print space for the UT on some semi-pro soccer game?

yes but even so, there's an audience out there and it's growing

it would be such a disfavor for the SD soccer community if we have a team in the open cup and no one covering it
besides soccernation, who usually does a decent-good job

Looks like Flash tried to move to this side of Route 56 to Mira Mesa High but they're now saying their games are moving out to Del Norte High School (so a bit further north than they already were. Unfortunate really since Mira Mesa High wasn't far from Green Flash Brewery.

Del Norte is a better location, I'd much rather drive on Camino del Norte than Mira Mesa blvd any day.

For now it seems the Flash are staying at Del Norte for 2014. The renamed Boca (now San Diego iCon FC) are moving to Torero Stadium for 2014.

And to update my last, Flash ended up moving closer to SD proper playing at Mira Mesa High and Boca folded for the year after problems with the "iCon" transition. Word is they're going to try and make a comeback next year, but we'll see.
