By the way, I have been in Portland (Wed-Sat) and I am currently in Seattle (Sat-Mon).

The MLS team profile in Portland is 50x greater than Chicago (and the stadium is right downtown).

I was at the Seattle-Fire game last night. The Sounders friggin' own this city. Way bigger Sounders presence than Mariners.

Both cities have embraced their MLS teams in a way that Chicago has not since 2000 (save for the signing of Blanco, but that was mostly limited to thw Spanish speaking section of the City).
