If realistically they don't think he's gonna beat out Sargent, Weah, Perry, Brewer, etc... at forward, it makes sense to move him to take advantage of his skill. When I watched him at State, he looked very skilled but didn't look like a pure forward. He dropped back a lot and liked to attack from the flank. Whether this was because that is what best suits his skill-set or because of a lack of better service from his Pack teammates (or a combination of both), I don't know. What is the competition for FB, especially on the right, in this pool?
99s are really unknown. 00s consist of Lindsey and Dest, and less so Watts. Adams could slide back there as well if the midfield is just so much better, which it could be with a glut of JoGo, Pomykal, Servania, Torres, Carranza, Durkin, Sands, Goslin, Acosta, Booth, etc etc, but I still personally think Xuxuh should be considered the favorite to be the best come WC time, but that's a long way away and his situation is really unclear.
Who are our domestic forwards? Do we think Sargent and Weah will be released for qualifying? There aren't really many quality strikers playing domestically. Perez, Toye, del Rosario, Soto, Reynolds, Padilla, Stojanovic, not a great crop. If Perez is half decent as a striker, he's better used at striker. We got enough full-backs. Zarris, Hanson, Lindsey, Gloster, McKenzie, Real, Uribe are all domestic full-backs. Also Adams could play either full-back spot.

As I was saying... That 22-26 group is where USSF seems to mining the hardest right now. Not saying it's right, just saying that's how it appears to be.
