The Fire face off against Mexico City’s Cruz Azul in Bridgeview for the Fire’s inaugural game in the Leagues Cup on Tuesday. Outside of having a large Mexican / Mexican American population, I can think of no other reason the Fire were included in this new tournament. I expect nothing but something stupid to happen. Where: Bridgeview, IL When: 7:30 PM TV: Univision Deportes “Exclusive” Stream: ESPN+
Another game with a quick turnaround so no ability to change the FO or coaching staff. Another home loss in front of dozens of fans and the obligatory something stupid will happen.
Quick Transfer news: Source on Reddit saying that Fire are heavily interested in Johnathan Bornstein 34-year-old fullback.
We are going to get destroyed by Cruz Azul especially when Pauno trots out Corrales at left-back again.
I keep trying to tell everyone that it's the Fire and not the USMNT that's held down by a SUM conspiracy.
Not even joking, I'm glad the Fire are treating this competition with the seriousness it deserves. /I'm still going to watch. //not like, drive to B-view on a Tuesday to watch in person, but like, on TV...
I have a dentist appointment in an hour I'm more excited about. Then I'm going to see Spiderman while the game is on. Seriously you're gonna have a interleague tournament mid season to draw a few extra pennies out of the local Mexican population and they couldn't arrange a better time and place than Tuesday night in Bridgeview? Seems dumb to me. Though I did thoroughly enjoy watching that double header at Toyota Park last time they had something similar.
That poll looks like the next Democratic presidential primary. Long before this cash grab was announced the wife & I got tickets to see Psychedelic Furs & James and hang out with the fire signs at the Arrogant Brawl Room.
I agree though just to clarify, two starters from the weekend will start this game, I have no idea how Pauno will use his subs
I will bet everything on a third centerback being subbed on if we have the lead. It didn’t work the first 100 times, so the 101st time should do the trick!
I seriously debated whether to purchase tickets to the Psychedelic Furs & James. Ultimately, I decided against it. I have seen the Psychedelic Furs a dozen times or so and, as for James, "Laid" is one of my all time favorites, but that's about it.

Chicago is 1-6-4 across their last 11 MLS matches. “If you watch, the reality is when they play at home it’s totally different,” Caixinha said of Chicago’s form (5-2-5) at SeatGeek Stadium. “The only five wins they have, they did at home.” Damning with feint praise, indeed.
I’ll watch, but I’ll be drunk and angry about it. Also, is even possible for this shit to end up in a tie? Like, MLS wouldn’t create some BS single elimination tourney and allow ties, wouldn’t they?
