Dax has been great the entire season so far, he's a major reason why we're where we're at in the standings.
We were already up 4-0 when the wave got around the stadium. I mean, I could understand people here complaining if it was a close match we had to focus on but come on now. This match was in the bag and it was fun.
We need to start a new tradition instead of the wave. Can I recommend a big mosh pit surrounding entire pitch?
They wouldve lost if they actually played us that day. The Fire were having their way until they bunkered. Orlando said their game plan was to keep it 0-0 as long as they could so thats code for some Yallop ball. Accam and Polster sure ruined those plans. Think about it for a second a team with Kaka are afraid of us and planned to bunker 90 and cross their fingers. Also, is it me or is Matt Polster a better RB than a CDM? I dont know if its that he is playing better or just because hes playing with better players.
We had a lot of bad bounces in Florida. Especially one I believe that was by Polster who smashed it off the cross bar. Yesterday we made them pay and a lot of the bounces went our way.
I only rewatched the first half but I remember one nice cross in from Vincent and he was dispossessed three times. I'm still not sure why some people think he's a top left back in the league.
since the league went to the current conference arrangement in 2011, 50 points has been good enough in the east every year except 2012
LB is a tough role to fill in MLS right now. There are a couple of good/ decent ones then a massive drop off. Vincent will do ok as long as the talent around him props him up. He is likely at his high point right now - he will likely end up being that MLS squad player that always gets picked up in the waiver draft ( with fans of a shitty team saying " he was good that year in Chicago ")
Really geeked for the game on Weds vs Cincinnati. It's on ESPN2 and Cincinnati should have a big crowd.
I'm OK with that. I mean, this is MLS. A team can rarely get 11 truly capable starters. What I just find odd is the fetishism of his play by not just fans, but others around the league. They don't see his level being propped up as you say and I find that strange.
Ignoring, of course, the fact that we had a "truly capable" LB and gave him away (in a series of transactions that "shook up the f'n soccer world" and resulted in us drafting Campbell and Alex Morrell.) He is starring in Seattle at the moment.
What's frightening about that is that if Nikolic had scored on that cross (and it was it nice enough cross) people would be raving about his game as is if it was good.
