My dog ditched the metal stuff and only brought in plastic Captain Morgan and Jack Daniels. Turns out the coin pocket is perfect for that.

Great time tonight. There was a real buzz to the place that has been lacking for years. Credit where it is due. I don't know if AH has been moved out as he has been awfully quite, but great crowd, the field is pristine, the team on the field is really good, the parking lots still suck. It's still going to take a bit of time to build real passion in the stadium, but hats off to Section 8 for numbers and Sector Latino for its passion. Well done.

I called it after the first Accam goal. Said if this is any indication of the Orlando defense it's gonna be massacre even called the hat trick

That was a great game to showcase the team in front of a sold out stadium.

    Player ratings (out of 10)
Son of Lamp- 7 Yes, he had a shut out, but he did not make a single save. (He receives a disingenuous 10 for managing to stay on the field, after his molestation of Rivas.)
Polster-7 Had an assist on Accam's goal
    Kappelhoff-6.5 Solid Game
    Meira-7 Good game
Vincent-6.5 Moved up quite a bit
Bastian-7.5 Had an assist on Accam's goal (with a 45 yard pass). Whether playing as a "sweeper" or as a CDM or in a more attacking role, he always stamps his mark on the game
McCarty-7.5 He, along with Bastian, is one of the smartest soccer players in the league. He plays everywhere all over the place.
Solignac-6.95 Had an okay game, decent passing, decent energy
Accam-9.5 Excellent. Hat trick and 1 assist. He could have had four, could have had 2 assists. First goal was ridiculous heel kick. Second was poise after the 45 yard bomb from Schweinsteiger. He buried his penalty for the hat trick.
Nikolic-7 Sure, he missed two (or three) sitters, especially at the end of the game. He did score a goal. and had 7 shots in the game (the entire Orlando team, including Kaka, had 3).

    Subs
Juninho-5 Okay, but did not do that much.
Alvarez-6 Had two shots, I would have preferred Johnson or Conner out there to get some minutes.
Mihailovic -6 Glad to see a HGP on the field. Did not make much of an impact, though.

A nearly perfect game from the Fire a few more better passes and finishes and it would have been 8-0. What a change from past years when the fire couldn't keep possession for 10 seconds in a row. I don't think Lampson had to make a save.

What a match to attend to after 2 years. That may have been their best game of the season. Completely different team than the one I saw get carved up by DC 2 years ago. Schweini has resurrected this club from the crapper.

    Hauptman still sucks though.

I would agree, but don't underestimate the effect Dax has had on this team. Man, he is a really good player in that holding mid role. While BS is the focal point, the two of them together are dynamite.

How the hell did I miss DeLeeuw?

I am rewatching the game at the moment (with Danhole Kelly off and Lady Sovereign on instead).

    DeLeeuw receives a 7.25.
This season he is the @Chris M. of Chicago Fire players.
He does so, so much to help the Fire win that does not show up in the statistics. His link play is very good. His energy is great.

Edit: Just saw the play in 32nd minute, with he diving header.

We're starting to look dominant. Lampson could have made the game closer at the end. I imagine he'll cost us some points eventually. I don't get why Mihailovic passed Johnson on the depth chart.

    Johnson was injured.
Perhaps he is just returning to fitness?

Now that this team is winning, surely they should have fixed the medical and fitness staff issues of prior years by now. If they haven't, then it is only one or two injuries to key players and this team will be brought back to the middle of the pack.

Yes solignac needs a first class ticket out of here. If we straight up trade him for kuba do it.

Great game to be at live. The atmosphere is really getting better (winning helps.)

Accam played like Dwight York in his Prime.

And our German General was all over the field as per usual.
Defensive energy and hustle, distributing and organizing. Such an honor to see him out there in Chicago.

Best part was with the "me plus -3" deal I got free hotdogs and sodas. :D

Things are looking fantastic for this team this season and I for one hope it never ends.

I really, really don't think he has. Last night was a great opportunity to get our 18 yo some minutes. Pauno took it. Either that or Aleks has some compromising photos of Pauno...lol.
