Who's ready for a mid-week game on an obnoxiously narrow field with bad turf that comes up in sheets!?

At least for one week I can feel like a professional when I play on the park district field near my house!

This game is going to waste valuable homework and Red Stars writing time for me.

Anyway, if the Fire can find a way to continue to use Gaitan properly, I don't see many problems. As always, we have a team that can win, it's about if they're allowed to win by the coach.

I'm excited for tonight's game. It's my son's 17th birthday and the kid wanted steak, augratin potatoes and green beans with bacon, onion and brown sugar so a couple of Oberons and maybe a gin and tonic and watching this game is gonna be a pleasure. NYCFC not looking very impressive yet but with a tiny field something stupid will happen.

    He "wanted" green beans?!?

Even with bacon, onion and brown sugar (which sounds fine, sans with green beans), no 17 year old "wants" green beans.

Two years ago I attended the match at Yankee stadium and witnessed Brandon Vincent injure himself during warm ups. Harrington had to make the emergency start and he played so bad that Schweinsteiger started conspicuously avoiding passing to him, and then the rest of the players followed suit. It was cringe worthy.
I'm just praying that no one gets injured on that stupid field.

I’m praying that if anyone has to get injured its Michael Harrington.

Growing up in the 1970's I was subject to countless cruelties involving canned green beans boiled to death next to plates of liver and other culinary disasters. I think I was so against green beans too until I had a fresh snappy one and set out to tame this loathing. Maybe I should move this to the "What are you eating thread" but try stir frying those suckers in Sesame oil on high heat then add Swan sweet soy sauce and a tablespoon of orange juice concentrate. Brown sugar and regular Kikkomaso soy sauce can replace the real thick sweet stuff. You might come to the other side?

Do people actually like these? It's like the worst thing you can do to a potato aside from making it head coach.

A clear, clear handball by Nikolic, and crashes into Sean Johnson. Can't let that one go.

    Good call.

Ring for NYCFC is a hack.

This has been an ugly game.

Three cards, at least nine fouls.

    17 minutes.
