The u20 team needs Lainez more than the senior team. Honestly, without him, I can’t see them even making it past the group stage. Whereas we probably won’t face real competition in the Gold Cup until the semis.

Maybe Osorio was right in terms of focusing on the "air game" and bringing players that were stronger defensively in set pieces. Has always been Mexico's Achilles heal, except during the Osorio era
