No se viejo. Segun algunos la Copa Oro del 2015 fue uno de los logros mas ilustres en la historia del Futbol Mexicano.
Not sure if that's the way I would quantify it, good vs bad. South Korea, Germany and Sweden are all very different teams with different strengths and the idea that the same starting XI can be competitive against those teams in three straight games is ridiculous. Sweden is direct, South Korea has pace all over the field and Germany is.....well the reigning World Champion. A 3-4-3 with wingbacks and height in the center of the field would be worth a shot against Sweden. That same formation could get shredded by the Germans. A 4-4-2/4-5-1 hybrid could allow us to match South Korea's pace and look to exploit their weak central defense with Guardado and Herrera making runs into the box when in possession. A lot of variables at play and I think the team will be well prepared. The well has been poisoned when it comes to Osorio, no matter what he does he will get fully blamed for everything.
Going through the lineups in 2014....the same starting XI did just that in three different games. I do not see the point of changing the goalies either, which will happen. 2 different players change in the line up....3 at the most would be ideal...more than that is just Osorio being a stubborn ass.
Yeah.....and by the fourth game the team fell apart physically in the second half while people blamed Piojo for being defensive. The only thing we know for sure is that rotations will take place. We'll see if they end up being justified or simply the final nail in his coffin.
Woulnd't mind it. 1 point here would be one of the greatest accomplishments for the program and would set the table to advance. Hope Osorio learned some lessons from the first match. Lesson 1. No more Gio please.
Yup, I don't think his plan in the Confederations Cup was too bad, other than having Gio start, but he got burned early and the Germany was on cruise control for the rest of the game. Our CBs should be fixed and not expose themselves too much because if they do they will be punished. Mexico has gotten positive results against World Cup winning teams these past two World Cups.
I'm not here to talk down on Mexico or Osorio but I do need to remind you guys that the Germany that beat us in the confeds was not even their A team. Scary thought
I would fvcking love for Mexico to pull an upset, but we need to be real about this, Germany is as solid and consistent as they come. This is no France ala 2010 or Spain 2014. They have a huge pool to choose from and they have the same manager who hasn't really shown a hint of decline. No way Mexico wins that match. They may tie, but a crazy/weird series of events have to occur for that to happen too.
Iunno what's with all the Gio hate.... everybody here spazzez... it's like you all forgot what he can still do... he has carried this team before and has had some wonderful moments.... don't get me wrong, I know his form has dropped drastically; but he still has that vision and skill, and you don't just lose that.... but that same drive and mentality from him is gone; I agree with that.....He shouldn't be starting, but should definitely be considered as a sub.... Gio made the stupid decision by going to the MLS and that ruined his potential, but he still has that ability.
I thought Gio would have picked it up by now, but he hasn't. At least Jona hasn't lost his level with the NT despite the terrible yet amusing situation of Carson. But I doubt Gio will get the form he had last World Cup in 6 months, I would love to be proven wrong, though.
