Who the fack cares if he gets picked up soon by a euro club. Dude is still way too green to manage el tri. In fact, I'd say let him go to europe to refine his skills in an environment where football is played at a faster pace/greater intensity and let Vergara bring him back to Mexico in a few years for the NT
He may be green but he shows talent/aptitude as a coach. I wouldn't hand him the reigns now but at the beginning of a WC cycle, why not?
We're gonna act like big clubs are knocking on his door to get him? Wasn't his offer from Spain from a lower table club? He'll come back if he sees that he's just making lateral moves in europe (after being there for some time) or he's essentially stayed at the same club with nothing to really show for. He'll try to use the NT as a platform in the future (which I don't mind). So yes, I think it's feasible that Mexico can bring him back.
I have nothing against the guy pero la neta no me convence para nada. I've seen chivas play, but it's nothing out of the ordinary or something that makes me feel like "damn that dude is special". People like him because he's a motivator and is able to bring the team together. However, that's not any different than what we had with Piojo. The team was happy with Piojo and they looked to be passionate as well. I'm not even advocating for Piojo to take the reigns again. Im just genuinely asking what separates one from the other? Tactical acumen? Lo dudo because there were some Chivas games where they didn't look so hot. I guess we'll see how the clasico turns out this year. Almeyda is a great prospect but I feel like people are getting ahead of themselves by wanting him as NT.
The expansion to 30 teams happened after RiBer got promoted. That team won 2nd Division all on its own.
Damn it looks like Osorio isn't making it to Russia. Maybe that's why big coaches don't come. We don't have an abundance of world class players, pero con lo tenemos hay que ganar y gustar. Si calificamos pero no al gusto de los medios, te corren. Si no estamos calificando... Obvio que te corren.
It's no coincidence that the 1st time we needed to hire after the whole Chepo/Vucetich/Piojo debacle, we couldn't get a coach even before the WCQ started for us and 2 years away from a WC. Not only did we only get Osorio but needed Tuca to come in and coach the team because they couldn't get a coach before those games.
Jesse Gonzalez blames Osorio for his switch: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1616...e-with-the-us-wasnt-convinced-by?ICID=HP_BN_2
Jesse wanted to play for the US and he's said it. I'm sure the u20 World Cup and olympics had to do more with this than anything. Osorio nor any other Mexican coach would ever promise a player something, just to cap tie them.
Osorio probably told him to wait until he was older and/or to move to a higher level of competition. Can't blame him for that kid changing allegiances as he might as well go back to warm the bench in MLS next season, he has done nothing to be a NT player.
What a little bitch Much like with players like Yarbrough, Joe Corona, Gringo Torres, etc., the Nads probably promised him the world if he were to choose them over Mexico
Ya saquen a estos cagones de una buena vez. Que vuelva el Piojo. These guys are going to be a disaster at the world cup. Would be such a waste to keep them. Who cares if they win the CONCACAF qualifiers "trophy". I know I don't.
If I didn't know any better I'd say Corona didn't go for that ball on purpose #FueraOsorio— yerrrr (@Chavo90) July 24, 2017
