He's someone that Bob Bradley liked enough to pick up in the expansion draft (He was traded to Montreal for good value).

It helps to have a Canadian on the roster. For the Bloody Caesars at the very least!

It seems like we paid quite a bit ($400,000 in TAM) for him, considering he has only played in 36 professional (MLS) matches (19 starts) and scored a whopping 3 MLS goals.
He is only earning $55,000 this season.

This is the same amount we paid for Dax McCarty.
That seems more like value for the money.

isn't TAM the "use it or lose it" free MLS funny money anyhow?

Not that we couldn't have "spent" it better elsewhere, but hey, at least they did SOMETHING, AMIRITE?

So is this the Accam replacement? So looks like the 3rd division player from Argentina is our summer transfer player this year.

    but :

NRod has said that he's been looking at multiple players, but yet we settle for this. Like I predicted we will end up getting MLS rejects.

    Talk is cheap Nelson.........

Yeah, TAM expires. I'm guessing we were planning on using it for Torres and when that fell through, we got whatever we could for it. That means we're probably not signing another DP.

Raheem was loved in Toronto. He did some great work on the right wing feeding Giovinco and others. We had high hopes for him and were devastated when LAFC grabbed him. We were more devastated when he ended up in Montreal (needless to say).

He's a good young player with a lot of upside. It does seem that he had some personal issues away from the game that were very problematic in his life.

All said and done though? We'd have him back in Toronto in a heartbeat!

Send word to him through your networks that if there’s anything supporters can do to help him with his off field issues we will find a way.

    Yep, there are:

Iniesta is confirmed for Vissel Kobe. (isn't that your team?)
Torres is confirmed for Sagan Tosu.

    Welcome to Japan!

Edwards is a very interesting player. He has speed and can deliver good service to Katai and Nicolic. I wish my team would have gotten him, we could use a decent wide player.

You could also use a new owner. Might I suggest...oh, never mind. Why kick them while we’re down?

What bothers me the most about this is that we go get a player like this while other teams are going after players that can possibly be around for the future.

For example take the Timbers latest loan signing with option to buy:
    https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...re-argentinian-midfielder-tomas-conechny-loan

Another note, if you read that release, why is it that N-Rod doesn't say why he made the signing in the press release. The Timbers talk about their signing and what the player can bring to the team and what they might be expecting from the player.

Rodriguez does not say why as there are no reasons for certain moves.

Signing Raheem Edwards is not shaking up the f'g soccer world, boys!

Uh, aren't we at war with Canada? This guy could be a sleeper cell waiting to detonate a maple syrup dirty bomb. Be vigilant! Remember the Bowling Green Massacre!

On Tuesday afternoon, the Timbers announced the acquisition of 20-year-old Argentinian midfielder Tomas Conechny, via a loan from Superliga Argentina club San Lorenzo.

You know Argentinian MFs don't grow on trees,

All Nelson has to do is stamp his feet and they spring up from the ground...
