I know it is wishful thinking, but I would believe that the League Office couldn't find anyone to take on Yura so they went to Nelson and said, "You have a roster spot open and we helped you pay for Bastian through Adidas so do us a solid and take Yura for the remainder of the season." If that is not the case, then the "Soulmates" were not on the same page since Yura barely played.

Get rid of anybody of value (Bastian, Niko, Katai, MDL, Kapp, Dax etc) and all the high salary players (Yura, soft foot etc.) and bring in other teams rejects, along with draft picks.
