watching highlights from the game the other day, the field was covered in polkadots. it looked like they had a spray bottle with weed and grass killer and walked up and down the field with it. did it look that bad live?
Soldier field redesign was about building luxury boxes, which generate much more revenue per sq ft used than actual seats. But carry on....
My 2 main concerns are A) Are they going to put it somewhere where it's possible to avoid paying for parking? and B) how much of my time is getting wasted getting there? Soldier field would at least let me go to the games without giving them money for parking which is nice. I'd hate to have to hop another train to Evanston. That's pretty much a huge ******** you to the people Bridgeview was originally convenient for.
You may have noticed by now that the Unholy Trinity have an extensive history of telling us "****** you".
It would take a fundamental shift in Evanston law and Ryan Field zoning to allow for professional sports to be played there. Pete (supposes it's possible, but doesn't see it happening)
Well it's a good thing Evanston residents aren't known for being cranky and resistant to change or anything.
I feel like some people are taking "Northwestern for some games" as "Fire are going to build a new stadium in Evanston and put down roots"
Who are those "some people"? I have not seen anyone think or mention that. I may have a bridge to sell them, they seem very gullible.
The Fire to Evanston is just smoke blown up the ass. They want a little leverage since the Park District w/Soldier Field hold all the cards. No one should be fooled.
People, let's focus. Evanston would be the best option for me period. Just because it's not going to happen doesn't mean I can't be a narcissist and demand whatever makes me happy. I could be President.
This thread is making me realize I haven't been to Edzo's in two years. I'm now firmly in the pro-Evanston camp.
