Mayor Emanuel's election lawyer ... lobbying the mayor's office on behalf of the Chicago Fire ... who are rumored to be returning to Chicago ... https://t.co/cgspyehYbJ— Dan Mihalopoulos (@dmihalopoulos) April 23, 2019
Kasper has been Madigan's election atty. since I was in Springfield in the late 80's - mid 90's. As wired as one can get. Joe is not messing around.
The only problem as we have seen with Lincoln yards is getting community ok for a soccer stadium in their neighborhood. There is a rumor that the fire will announce their move to Soldier Field very soon.
I live almost walking distance to the site, but I'm kind "meh" on it as a development site (not just for a stadium) unless there's some major transit change, and I mean MAJOR transit change.
I'd forgotten about that one. I love how the Lucas Museum is still listed as one of the potential developments... I'd love even more if that somehow became the stadium site just for the sake of irony.
Btw , the guy who does contract PR for Bridgeview and Lyons tweeted earlier-that the Fire would not be in BV after this season. He has since deleted that tweet...
Chicago Fire subreddit has a supposed insider who has hit on quite a few events over the past season. He says an announcement is coming sometime next week.
Yeah Tyrus is really good. Also TruMarty on Twitter reported that too. He had said that it could have been reported yesterday but I think it'll be next week just because of how accurate the guy on reddit is.
It'll be before the 20th , it's all tied into Rahm finishing the Reece business. "If" the Fire play at Soldier Field it's tied into the hospital deal. They needed Rahm to influence park district into a better deal as a bridge for the transition time into a new stadium. This is what happens when you get a billionaire with local influence involved ina team.

That link hot fayer. Section 8 reborn or what? Opening match versus Derby County Ante Razov and CJ Brown drop the ball in the center like back in the day?
What happens to the bricks people bought (myself included) from the Fire Foundation back in 2005 to be placed at the stadium?
