    Hmmm.

That # 22 sure looks like a Fire forward (he can't finish either).

    Bench him!

Capano really does have some nice moves. Allow me to be the first to say... I'd like to see him get more playing time next year :)

You know Wynalda is going to kick himself for weeks after missing that chance. That would have been a great way to cap off the game, damn him. :D

Overall, our scrubs looked decent, much like the game on Wednesday (only moreso). If you add in a finisher like Ralph or, dare I say it, Herron, we'd have had something. One mistake let them take hold of the game, and the resulting panic let them score again.

This sort of thing should be helpful in determining who stays and who goes, and may even have helped Bucky claim a starting spot on Saturday.

Capano and Bucky should play a big part for the Fire next year whether it's starting or off the bench.

So this game is on replay in 2 hours or so, is it worth watching? Sounded liek a fun one, even though the Fire lost.

Do you mean "the" Tony McManus the Fire drafted this year?

any word on any other non-roster players on the field or on the bench?

    I got
    Chicago:
Thiago Gaucho (trialist), Sumed (waived and brought back, probably own rights), Pilarski (waived and brought back, probably own rights), McManus (2004 draftee, own rights), Wynaldo (?retired with Chicago, God help you if you own his rights)

    Metrostars:
Ryan O'Neil (gotta look him up)
    more?

Any box score anywhere for this game? I'll check MLSNET and the HOF site now.

It is worth watching, to see all our youngsters and how they do. It's not beautiful football, but it's fun. I think swedcrip34 has everybody down (not sure for the Metros) that played. Thiago is worth a look; he may still be joining us over the winter.

so far found that O'Neil played with MET 7/14/04 against Long Island Rough Riders

    http://www.**********************.com/php/boards/index.php?showtopic=2710&st=15
    indicates other non-roster MET's
    Robbins Jerome
    Phil ???????

    will continue to search

edit: Ryan O'Neill is a common name so I wasn't sure if it was the same, but that links says U of Scranton 2002. "Jerome is a local kid of Haitian heritage who was pretty good for FDU the past few years" - Farleigh Dickinson U I think. Phil Swenda, ex-Seton Hall player. Swenda was actually a 03 CHI draft pick so CHI might still own his rights until the 05 draft. Maybe put with MET for Wilt to get a look? Do MET care about finding themselves players?

That was a fun game to watch. Capano is going to be a stud.
