For sand draft could we try for a weekend time? Weekdays are tough to do a draft, especially with managers from different time zones and if there’s not much time to choose picks. Thanks for keeping things going Dr. Heckle and hopefully we’ll get a few more managers to make it more competitive
Small rocks is using the traditional method of drafting. Sand has not been able to fill all of its slots to make it as a league but seems to have a fair chance of doing so using the new FPL format. Please see the Small Rocks Organizing thread so that that I can get the info I need for you and your team. I will then send you the code to join.

I would think that Norm or Dr. Heckle could set up the league. Couldn't we advertise the league with the code and have people sign up through FPL, then have them sign up for Big Soccer?
Dr. Heckle has it set up already on the official site, so they would just need to get the code from him and should be good to go.

Hey how you doing I messaged you on reddit about joining the sand league .Rob Sweeney the Icardi B team but Im just wondering whats the league code and do you need anymore information for it ?
I started a separate thread. One of the players in Sand will be the commissioner and set up the code. Then we have a league called All Rocks with all of the teams. We run comps with all teams along with individual leagues. We use the regular FPL site and each league drafts separately. Usually takes 4-5 days. But with time zones can take longer. Each league decides a draft date. End of the year the top two teams get promoted and bottom two relegated. Everyone starts in the lowest league. So we have Small, Very Small and Sand.

Looks like the Sand League is back in business, Dr. Heckle is our commissioner. I think if we have more than 8 but less than 16 then we expand Sand, let’s not restrict ourselves to 8 like it is a barrier, but if there are enough new players to resurrect the Dust league then even better.
Thanks for posting the tracking Tarvinodos, I think the other two leagues are completed now (I remember seeing a post from Tangers recently so VSR should be filled now as well as SR). Good to see Sand come back and possibly Dust also
Wow - Tarv is like the Pied Piper ! Soooooo.... are we doing Sand/ Dust on the old Google Docs way, or the FPL site? I had pretty much committed to abandoning the old way and set up "Sand" on FPL site using the Draft feature.. and would sort out a Dust if there was enough bodies. Given there are so many new players, and season is fast approaching .. I I think that is best as I feel the google docs set up may be an issue, especially as I am a bit time poor these days. Maybe we do VSR & SR on old way, and Sand/ Maybe Dust the new way. The only thing that suffers really is the All Rocks League. I think we will recruit/ hold on to, more managers this way and it is a simple way to introduce new players. We could then all strive to get to SR / VSR so we can use Google Docs again If we all keep busy and update all leagues on BSoccer could be fun. Thoughts all ?
This was my point too. Get enough players to sign up and play, then introduce them to the long draft. I suppose you could ask the managers if they wanbt to do the long draft, but it's probably easier to do FPL draft. I don't think All Rocks suffers if we have active managers.
I think we have Sand be traditional draft. That way someone like me can run the Golden Boot. 1800 already has a draft league setting up. People can join that as an alternate. Or each league can have a EPL draft within the league. I still like our old way. I did the EPL draft last year. If you are not on top of the official draft that happened for me in death in a moment as you are looking at you phone during stop and go rush hour LA traffic, you spend the whole season with a crap team that never gets repaired.

What's happening with those three teams in Sand that are not in bold? Are they playing? I think that if we can fill all of the leagues by the end of next week that we should try the long drafts if that's possible. Maintains continuity. Also, drafted teams do not get points for captains. That will put them at a disadvantage in other competitions.
Agreed. I am searching old emails to see if I have any info on the managers that have not shown up yet. Also, if we get 8 new teams there can be a Dust League.
