wow...you do realize that China is kind of a special circumstance? The only reason you see all these footballers/ex footballers sucking China's nuts is because of the enormous economic potential. Only the Usa can really be compared to them. If China got heavily invested everyone's salaries and all the tv deals would skyrocket.

The US is single handedly able to carry a sport only they watch with tv deals/salaries/sponsorships. If China put its money into the pot that already contains most of the world then the money would reach ridiculous levels. TV announcers would probably start making footballer money to announce a BPL game, the top footballers would probably begin to crack the $1B club in yearly earnings.

That's why you have David Beckham kissing China's ass with his HK/Taiwan instagram posts and Ronaldo praising the Chinese in every interview he can.

It's not a lack of respect, that's like saying Korea lacks respect for Paraguay because they don't do Kpop tours there but they always try to go to Usa/Aus/Europe. It's not really surprising a 100,000km size country like SK is less important in the overall picture.

According to a Korean report, STY is going to axe most of the players from the last call up because he is unhappy with their mentality. Ki, Son, Koo, Kwon and LCY are the only known "survivors" of that decision. I wonder if he has the guts to leave out his favorites like KYG, JHS and JWY.

edit: and it looks like we might face Island and Colombia

If the USA made it I would have wanted a tough group. If they're going to suck, they might as well do it against the strong teams.

Hopefully he thinks long term and pick some young players especially Han Chanhee. But I bet you that he'll pick some old ass have been because they are more "mentally" strong LOL. I'm talking about Lee Donggook, Yeom Kihun, Park Chuyoung, hell might as well call up Oh Beomsuk while we're at it.

Well at least it sounds like he'll make some big decisions. Depending on who will become the ominous foreign, experienced assistant coach (theyre apparently looking for a tactician) and the new foreign physical coach, STY's KNT could indeed become more positive. Not saying I wouldn't prefer him getting sacked but as it seems very unlikely, we need to get the best out of his team. It's been also revealed that a psychologist is being considered as well to look after the player's mentality.
If they can really get some competent assistants, it means that STY at least accepts his weaknesses and is reasonable enough to get professional help unlike Stielike who was too proud and wanted absolute power.
But let's not forget that JMG and KHG need to take responsibility first and fck off asap!

I hope he does.. That's the only thing that will change the situation, at least, a bit.. There's no fking point of using the same players, with which we have failed miserably for the past few years. We seriously have nothing to lose anymore. Just call up LSW, BSH, etc...

Too bad KMJ is injured...would have been a good test for him.
Are there any defender beasting it out in the uni league? Kmj totally beast it out when he was there maybe there's another guy like him. How about Jeong Taewook? Is he playing well?
Hopefully STY tries some young players...

Jung Mong Gyu reassured that they'll stick with STY. Also, he wants to make some changes in the KFA staffs but no words about KHG was fallen. He publicly apologized, but still no one has taken responsibility (JMG: "I will take full responsibility" -> still no one out.)

From what I've heard about Kim Minjae is that he needs a surgery and he will recover for 3 to4 weeks. However, the injury happened because it's his first pro season and he was too intense and played too many games that it built up. He thinks it's better to get the surgery now rather than wait for it later. He needs a big break after this season, probably a rookie of the year.
Hope to see him this December for KNT.

LOOOOOL JMG says his goal at the WC is to reach the round of 16. :ROFLMAO:

It was him who had the final choice to sack Stielike in late 2016. But he opted to stick with that old guy. Also he had hidden behind KHG and STY until today. Way too late. If we fail WC 2018, he's the first one who should leave!
