So I run an online soccer publication and our staff reaches across the country, but we have the most boots on the ground in Columbus, OH and thus that will be the location of our large FIFA tournament this upcoming spring (we also go to Ohio State, so that's an easy connection for us to make). However, this is my first time organizing an event of this size. And I've never organized a video game tournament before. So, if any of you have ever played in a tournament like this, what went wrong and what went right? What should I try and do and try and avoid? And what other advice would you give me to make this tournament an awesome time for everyone?
Never done this but I would definitely make sure the controllers are up to par. If they're cracked or the buttons stick then people will not be happy.
