65': Nikki Washington out, Michelle Enyeart in. The announcers will have to find someone else to rave about.

42' 0-2 Morgan on a rare right-side foray, through two defenders, ball ricochets off them and her heel, trickles centerward across box top -- she out-pounces them, carries it across the front of a defender, loses her balance  -- and on the way down to her right hip, takes a mighty (or might-as-well :D) swing with her left -- lobs the keeper #1 Kim Un Ju and into the far side netting. Thunderbolt!!

Flashback to HAO's lob goal from the right sideline vs. Japan in the Beijing'08 semis. It's a good lesson -- shoot hard to the corners, test the other girl's vertical. Picture Freddy Adu vs. U-20 Poland spinning 270 and curling off the left post and in, and young Morgan on the sofa saying, "I could do that --"

Korea has had some promising possessions, but then their shots and crosses are aimless.

5 minutes to go and the U20 gals look like a lock for the U20 Championship... The Koreans are spent!

84' 0-2 USA is bunkering and pinging triangles in defense, content to let DPRK set up their halfcourt offense. Ironically, halfcourt is not DPRK's strong suit. Naeher has caught many (couple dozen?) balls, but DPRK can't create a clear chance.

USA's corner-kick defense has been dominant all tournament long -- we almost always win the first two headers.

That goal had been coming for quite a while.

That's it! Great tournament overall, two great goals to win it in the final, not much more you can ask for.

90+2' 1-2 DPRK pings into our box left edge, cross to the 6, Cha sneaks in just right of center and taps back across Naeher's body, Naeher is partially screened and wrong-footed.

Damn, I was about to congratulate ESPN on sticking around and showing the awards ceremony, but no, instead we get poker. :( Oh well, thanks ESPN for showing the game! That is very much appreciated. :D

    And congrats USA! :)
