Taking a break from the law school studies, I of course set aside room in the budget to purchase Fifa 13. The idea came in my head about how the developer, EA, could incorporate all pro divisions from the American leagues to further the games appeal and increase popularity. The American public is one of if not the biggest purchaser of the franchise. As stupid as the idea sounds it would increase intrigue if NASL and USL Pro teams were involved in the game. It would make the manager mode actually be able to have a genuine US Open Cup experience and add new dynamic to the American Fifa fan. I know that most of us and other players rarely delve into the smaller league dynamic of Fifa, but the game has so many leagues and levels that the game rarely gets boring. I have been an avid player since the start. Overall the game is amazing as always. I am an Everton fan and found the detail of them booing Rooney everytime he touched the ball in Goodison to be fantastic. Only real problem is that they did not include the Chinese Super League!

Did you miss the the ESPN article that showed the most popular Fifa team by state? Almost every state's favorite team is Barcelona... but I'm sure the inability to play as the Tampa Bay Rowdies is what's holding US based teams back...

I think the general public's contributions to the game via the Creation Center can, at times, be better than what EA Sports puts out there officially. For example, there was a US Open Cup tourney available for download which included all custom lower-division teams that were participating in it most recently.

Well I have it on good authority that EA almost did what you propose. The man behind TheCup.us US Open Cup site once worked for EA Sports and offered to help them create accurate versions of the lower leagues. They weren't interested as they thought there wouldn't be enough demand for them at that time.

The good news is they created the Creation Centre and there are some pretty good versions of teams and tournaments there now.

Here are the Creation Centre links for:
