I don't think thats real pics of the game. The graphics look almost the same as 09's. Plus, the kits aren't right either.

The site is live, and as of today it says that FIFA 10 kicks off in 75 days (August 19, 2009).

Btw, those were legit screenshots on the GameSpot site.

PodCast suggests saying goodbye to the old 8 direction movement system and saying hello to full 360 degree freedom. That would be excellent in itself.

That change would make the game just about perfect.

The 360 degree dribbling will be sick. What is this skill dribbling they are talking about?

    From the game site:

"Advanced animation warping technology lets skilled players face defenders and maneuver around them with highly-responsive lateral dribbling, just like the game's legends."

    Translation?

Do you know if there is more interactment between players such as tussles after hard fouls, or more referee involvement? One thing that I love about actual football is that the game is not so much black and white... I mean, when there is a hand ball does the referee call it or not.. it all depends on the atmosphere of the game.. In other sports you have to stick by the rules, but what makes soccer so interesting to watch is that so many calls are debateabe, and I think it would be cool if FIFA were able to somehow incorporate this into the game... With correct calls and incorrect calls such as bad offsides calls or penalty kicks that shouldn't be, to other things such as getting a card for delaying the game... These are just some of my ideas which hopefully are brought at least partway into this game!

I can't wait to try it out :)

Ditto. I usually play the previous installment until the day I take the new one out of the shrink wrap.

ya there needs to be a more detailed transfer section. like maybe transferring players+cash for another player and maybe adding buyback clauses or something of the sort

Like Swosece Soccer '97. I like that idea. It'd also be good to be allowed to trial youth players or free agents too.

EA needs to bring back the Academy set-up and shirt number editor. It's a little frustrating having a forward wearing number 2 or something.

yea i noticed there are like NO free agents in fifa 09. kinda bullshit. they also need to update the simulating in manager mode. i win 7-0 against arsenal one week, lose 3-0 to leeds united the next, lol

There are free agents in 09. When you do a detailed search for a transfer, next to status there are a handful of options, one of which is free agent. I was able to pick up Vidic from free agency in my fourth season with Chester right after being promoted to the Premiership. Best parts of free agent acquisitions are no transfer fee and 99% of the time the player will sign for you.

I'm not saying there aren't Free Agents, I know there are - in fact I've picked up plenty of valuable acquisitions via Free Agent status, however I'm saying that there's a lack of Trial option. Ergo you cannot trial a Free Agent for a particular, set amount of time (which is free for you, the manager), then discuss a contract after the trial period is done.

Of course that could easily be abused (eternal free trials), so perhaps limiting the trials per season would be a good idea (two or three, for instance).
